Waterford Vintage Entertainment Collection Flute Glasses, 6 ounces, Clear

I purchased the Marquis "Deep Red" glasses several years ago, and these white wine glasses are the perfect match. I've read several reviewers note that these whites are smaller than they expected. They are somewhat smaller than other brands I've seen, but I consider it to be more a positive, particularly with softer whites like Rieslings, pinot blanc, and G.V. They're more in line, size-wise, with what used to be marketed as an all-purpose wine glass 20 or so years ago, although with a slightly narrower bowl.I'm glad to say that, like my Deep Reds, these Classic White glasses are clean, elegant, and well balanced. They are a good size for an everyday casual glass, in fact the perfect size to bring along to a picnic if packed carefully. And they look splendid at a formal table setting when accompanied at each place setting by a larger red glass and a water goblet.I've attached a picture showing relative size. The Marquis white wine glass is in the center. The Marquise "Deep Red" is on the right. The glass on the left is an "all purpose" stemware, who's brand I forget. You can see it's a midway compromise between the two shapes. Hope this helps.

I ordered three different type of glasses for a Christmas present. The other two were fine but when my wife was wrapping this set it seemed to feel different so she opened it and found that the packaging was not the same as in the other two sets. The cardboard separator was missing and two of the glasses broke during shipment. Since this was a Christmas present there was no reason to open the box when it arrived and normally we would just have put on Christmas wrapping paper. By the time we discovered the breakage we were beyond the return period (which was October 16). The return page states that you can return a purchase even though it is beyond the return period. I did this and pointed out the damage and the fact that it is unreasonable to expect a customer to open every package they receive from Amazon when that package appears fine from the outside and you hate to damage the box just to see if there is a broken product inside. I further stated that I did want the full 4 glass set and would like it sent to me.Amazon's order history report shows the return of the product on 12/20/2012 and that the status was "complete". To me "complete" meant that they had taken care of the problem but we never received the 4 glasses and the Amazon records no longer reflect the order.I finally wrote to the Office of the President at the Seattle address but the letter was returned stating that it was not deliverable as addresses.The product itself is fine but someone removed the padded separator and shipped it to me with almost a 100% probability that one or more of the glasses would be damaged.As a long time customer I am totally fed up with the service I didn't get on this purchase and have changed my mind in general about Amazon.I realize that you only want complaints of this sort on the feedback page but I hope that you might pay attention here.

These glasses are very nice - just what I expected. I believe I bought them a little cheaper by Amazon Warehouse NEW or Like New. They arrived in perfect shape and good gift quality packaging that includes:A blue outer boxCardboard dividers for all four glassesA care bookletSnug tissue wrapping of each glassBubble Wrap under the tissue for the stem portion of the glasswareThe only thing about the box that looks a little unexpected is the bright orange "SOLD as SET" sticker on the outside. There is also packing tape that taped it closed but I believe this is because I bought the set "like new". This is not a gift so it doesn't bother me (but even if it was.... the receiver probably would not care) I am of thinking of giving two sets of these to my sister for mother's day (mom drinks red wine, and these are white wine glasses).

This old-fashioned glass is the right size to hold a standard 2-1/2-oz cocktail. Most other glasses I found on Amazon and in stores were huge "Double Old Fashioned" glasses, which are fine for juice or water, but too large to hold a single cocktail without a boat-load of ice.It is also the perfect size to hold a  Tovolo 2" spherical ice cube , which makes an excellent combination for sipping whiskey. With one of these spherical ice cubes, the glass can hold 2 to 2-1/2 ounces of liquid without coming too close to the top. (As an aside, this has an entertaining effect in itself; when I made margaritas for myself and a friend, the spheres of ice kept rolling in the liquid like ball bearings.)The glasses are plain in design. The Amazon image seems to show a circular design ringing the glasses, but this does not appear at all in normal lighting. The wall of the glass thickens toward the bottom.None of the glasses I received had flaws.

I really like these glasses. I use them for everyday use and they look nice and are adequate in size. The one problem I have is that they break extremely easily. They have fairly thin walls and I have broken a number of them in the year or so that I have had them. I bought an extra box of four and keep some pares on hand just in case I have another mishap.**One additional item to add. These glasses are very thin and break VERY easily. At least 1/2 of mine are gone now.

These glasses perform very well as beverage holders. Unfortunately the stickers on them that say Waterford are held on by some substance unknown to mortal men. I've tried to pry the stickers off of these glasses and there is always a sticky left-over residue. I'll go out on a limb here and say that if buildings were held together with the same stuff that these stickers are affixed to the glasses with, they would be earthquake proof. Like many women I've known, the glasses are nice, but unremarkable. Unlike many women I've know, the glasses will hold an Old Fashioned for you. Haven't figured out how to get either to make the Old Fashioned, will report back if successful in the future.

The people that say these are not the real thing clearly do not know what waterfords marquise line is... it is crystalline. There is no lead. It is up to waterfords high standards but you are not getting 5 star cut lead crystal (even reidel is doing this), which is why you are not paying $90/CAD or above per piece.These are extremely pretty, simple tumblers. They are weighty, shiny, even, and make sipping delightful. Very large. Extremely pleased.

OK. The glasses are a bit small but OK.

Fantastic glasses. We were hoping it matched the ones we received 7 years ago, even though didn't they are great.

Just what I wanted/expected

Do not buy these. They’re not the real thing. A good glass copy though but not worth the money
