Excellent read!
Wow! SO informative and interesting. It helps to have a little knowledge going into this book. At times, it can get laborious, but just hang in there. Clearly, the author has researched everything thoroughly.

Are you a New Age nutjob who prefers woo to science? Do you think Pueblo indians were stupid? Then this book is for you!
I bought this book thinking it would be a learned treatise on how the Pueblos used architecture for skywatching. Instead, what I got is a bunch of New Age BS.For example:-Comparing Hopi and/or Maya symbolism to that of ancient Egypt and/or India and/or etc etc, and claiming that even the slightest and most tenuous of similarities (including anything remotely close to a "pa"/"ba" syllable in words for stars, or words for anything else really) are "no coincidence". Because the Hopi couldn't have learned how to say "pa" or "ba" without alien help to connect them to other ancient civilizations.-Hopi flying saucers over Arizona! Yes folks, you hear it in this book first. Because heaven knows the Hopi weren't smart enough to figure anything out for themselves without the help of aliens. (it is this assertion, repeated throughout the book, that I find incredibly insulting to the Pueblo indians).-The ancient Hopi/Maya supposedly prophesized that we would observe a supernova in Orion in 2012! (the book was written in 2010). Here is is 2015, and still waiting on that one.-Tibet and Arizona have similar flags! There obviously must be some kind of mystical connection. Canada and Japan both have red and white flags with a red blob like thing in the middle... aliens probably are the reason behind that too.-The ancient Pueblo people were giants! It's true! But we don't know about it because the State of California refuses to display the skeletons. Oh, and the giants had six toes. Just like the giants in the Bible (and yes, that's what it says in the book).-Psychic archeology. 'Nuff said.Anyway, if this is the kind of stuff that floats yer boat because you are "open minded", and because you think that all scientists are just secret operatives for the government in its quest to hide the fact that aliens obviously exist, and because you think the Pueblo indians were/are obviously too stupid to do anything without alien help, then this is the book for you!

The Gold Standard for First Nations Orion Research
This is a masterpiece of scholarship and educated speculation on the Orion constellation of stars and the role they play in human evolution. Beyond a doubt, it is well-researched and written. I am reading it right now for pleasure but I want to revisit some of the chapters before I comment further on the technical proclamations. But let me be blunt: do yourself a favor, get this book for your city and home library. It is a treasure chest of previously unknown references and unseen connections to cosmology in general. Professor David is intellectually honest, humble in his musings and I consider this author's subject matter skill-level outstanding: akin to that of John Major Jenkins and Joseph John Campbell, for examples. I know you will enjoy this book immensely too: it is a genuine page-turner and one that you will savor for its stimulating contents and startling conclusions about our future beyond 2012. On a sidenote, I can only imagine First Nations teachers and their students will benefit greatly from reviewing this work as well.
