Our boat's cover had years of mildew staining and general grime built up that regular soap and water wasn't touching anymore, so I picked this up on a recommendation from a guy at the marina who swore by it for canvas. Diluted it per the instructions since it's concentrated and I didn't want to risk anything too harsh on the fabric. Difference was pretty dramatic honestly, scrubbed a section as a test first and the mildew stains lifted way better then our usual boat soap ever managed. Went over the whole top and most of the discoloration came out, a few of the oldest, deepest stains faded but didn't disappear completely, which is probably more on the age of the canvas than the cleaner itself. Fabric doesn't feel stripped or overly dried out afterward either, was worried a concentrated cleaner might be rough on the material but it rinsed clean and the canvas still feels normal, not stiff or brittle. Smell isn't overpowering while scrubbing, which matters when your working in an enclosed cockpit area for a while. Concentrate goes a long way too, used a small amount diluted in a bucket and still have plenty left in the bottle after doing the whole boat. Only downside is you really do need to let it sit and agitate a bit on tougher stains, doesn't just wipe away instantly like the label kind of implies. Great value for how much canvas it can clean per bottle.

Birds really like my boat. Or maybe they hate it. I have a pontoon boat and the main cover and bimini top cover always have some nice surprises for me left during the week by our feathered friends at our marina. I generally hose it off and that's fine, but after a couple of years, it definitely had some patched staining. In addition, normal stuff can build up on the covers. I used this to clean the top and bottoms of the covers and they looked like new. In addition, they make a waterproofing product that I will use each year. I'd recommend Star Brite products to my boater friends, but apparently, they already knew. So boaters, you'll be happy with what they have to offer.

Used this product cleaning a Tommy Bahama Umbrella. The mildew was significant before starting to clean the fabric. I put half the bottle in half a gallon of water and used a bristle brush. After rinsing I used the remain of the bottle in another half gallon of water, continuing to scrub the umbrella. The umbrella was rinsed off and remained open drying in the Florida sun. I have to say 95% or better of the Umbrella is perfectly clean. I endorse this product.

Star Brite was the best canvas cleaner I have found. We used it on a tent trailer before we sold it and it took years of dirt, stains, and mold off the cover with very little effort. It was a product that actually worked like it said it would.

Its an ok cleaner. Used it on my canvas tent and it DID NOT remove mildew or any other stains. I did notice that it removed existing canvas waterproofing. I was planning on waterproofing anyway, but you may not be planning on post waterproofing so plan accordingly. In my opinion it cleaned my tent no better than dawn dish soap. Also make sure you understand that a full 16 ounce bottle is expected to be mixed with a half gallon of water. That is not alot of mixed wash solution.

Works great! For the price I was worried about wasting money, but this waterproofing really worked! Look how the rain just beads up. Nothing gets through. We live on a sailboat and I like having coffee in the cockpit each morning. Now I can, since nothing drips on me. Be sure to clean your Sunbrella fabric well first. I just sprayed it on and let it dry. Really easy to use and I still have about half a bottle left.

Folks don't waste your money. This is over priced and worthless. My white sails had mildew dirt and grime.....this did absolutely nothing. Waste of money and effort due to false advertising. Several applications and lots of scrubbing, all it did was.......nothing.
