I’ve been following 5 Marys Farm for a couple of years, and tried their ground beef this year. It is the best tasting, most flavorful beef I’ve ever had. I am so excited to read more of their story in this cookbook, make a famous Five Marys Sidecar, and learn how to cook things like “Flank Steak Tacos with Roasted Tomatillo Salsa,” “Brian’s Chicken Fried Steak with Country Gravy,” “Sweet-and-Spicy Baby Back Ribs,” and “Creamy Parmesan Polenta.” Everything the Heffernans create is high-quality, and I’m so grateful to have this cookbook in my kitchen!

So excited to get my cookbook today!!! I have already tried a few of the recipes she has shared in the past and everything is amazing. (They are in the book) I have already started exploring and excited to see great options . Recipes for the grill or indoors many many family recipes. Lovely pictures and stories. I would also recommend following them on Instagram. Very very hard working family living their best life.

This gorgeous book has immediately become a staple of our kitchen. I would have loved it just for the photographs - sumptuous full page images of the Heffernan's "dirt and sunshine" approach to life on Five Marys Farm. Mary's charming asides about ranch life make this a book that I want to curl up with, not just splatter with sauce in the kitchen. But the recipes, oh the recipes! I gave up marking ones to try after I earmarked all of the first 20 pages. Those I have sampled so far are delicious, sophisticated yet undaunting for the average weekday night chef. Though the book makes me want to run off to the ranch, at least this way I can eat like I live on one.

Mary is a beautiful writer and her recipes are mouth watering. You will feel submersed in ranch life done right, and gain appreciation for each recipe as she describes the sentiment behind each one, making it all the more enjoyable to create in your own kitchen! This cookbook sits nexts to my other widely popular cookbooks by some of America’s favorites, but I already know this will be the cookbook I grab off of the shelf the most! It is easy to follow, yet the recipes remind me of 5 star restaurant dishes. Beginners in the kitchen, as well as pros, will enjoy this cookbook!

I’ve been following Mary and her family on Instagram for almost 3 years now. I’ve never met any of them personally but I feel as if they are family. Mary and her husband Brian along with their 4 girls raise beef, pork, and lamb in Northern California. I’ve ordered their meats from their online store and did a little happy dance when it arrived on my doorstep next day. When Mary announced she was creating a cookbook a did the same little happy dance. Well today my Five Marys cookbook arrived on my doorstep and I did a BIG little happy dance. I cannot wait to try so many of the recipes I have watched her cook over the years. Even if you don’t like to cook I highly recommend this cookbook just for the pictures. Mary’s family and their ranch is breathtakingly gorgeous. I currently have this book open laying on my coffee table as decor. Not buying this cookbook would be a regret. I promise you’ll love it.

Chalk full of the tastiest breakfast ideas, delicious adult beverages & meals with your most favorite meat choices! Her spice rub recipe is inside & I legit make it once every month or two; we use it so often! This cookbook makes for a great gift or even just a treat for yourself if you’re in the market! If anything, buy it just for the spice rub.. lol.

I cannot say enough about Five Marys Farms recipes-I have been following her for a long time now-and tried every recipe she has shared-and they have all became family favorites. I am so excited to start trying these new recipes as well. The story of Five Mary's is as organic and enjoyable as her cookbook. Buy this now before you cannot get it! It will surely become a go to all time favorite cookbook. Down home-real meals- and made with great assessable ingredients. Made my day for sure! Run-run to to buy this cookbook.

Wonderful glimpse into the ranch’s life

Two years ago I was on a road trip through California. When I visited Yreka I was looking for an place to eat. I found out that the restaurant of Five Mary's was 20 minutes away. I followed the family already on Instagram. I ordered the steak with potatoes. It was one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. When I heard about there cookbook, I ordered it with Amazon. The recipes are easy to understand and the pictures in the book are well chosen. It looks just like there Instagram acount, amazing.

This cook book is amazing! The meals are easy to make and yet so flavorful, the Five Mary's story is so special. This cook book will not disappoint!!
