I like it. I left lunch in it for 6 months and after cleaning it with vinegar and bleach it was clean again. The lunchbox is really tough, and it can withstand a lot.it comes with chopsticks, spoon, butter knife, fork. It can fit in a big lunch if you’re into that. I’m a teenager but it’s nice for young kids or people of any age because it’s easy to use and not complicated

This product is excellent. It has an excellent, very tight seal that prevents the contents from spilling, and it is the ideal size for taking my lunch or snacks to work.

For less than 20 dollars, I believe you get a fairly reasonable deal - but that said, there are some quirks of this being a cheaper product that may motivate you to spend more since not everything that is included in the bundle is enjoyable to use. When testing the containers for sealant quality, shaking it did end up leaking a significant amount of water that I filled it with. So, not recommended for soup or liquidy items. The twist seal jars included held up very well though in terms of leak proofness. However, the twist seal jars are also gratingly squeaky sometimes when opening them and produce an incredibly uncomfortable sound to my ears. This is by nature of them being plastic and not a heavier material and almost makes them unusable, so I might swap them with my own. The utensils are fairly decent all things considered. I noticed a small splinter on my fork, but after washing, it was gone. The overall size is decent and I could fit enough to be full inside both containers for a lunch or something similar. The exterior appearance is also good, and I like the semi hydrophobic plastic that is easy to wash. If you can get the whole deal for around 15-20, it seems like an OK purchase - just know that with a cheaper price comes cheaper quality.

Haven't tried it in the dishwasher yet, but the bamboo slat is removable and everything else can be washed! It arrived in great condition, with info and instructions, and it just what I wanted! I somehow missed that the compartment dividers are MOBILE, so you can adjust the relative sizes of the compartments in each layer! Even the sauce containers are sleek, pretty, and washable. I got the bamboo lid because I just found it too beautiful to pass up, even for the sake of convenience (because then, with a non-wood top lid, it would have been 100% dishwasher safe! But alas, my fondness for art has stopped that!) Thankfully, I now see that the lid slips out super easily, and the rest can be washed, with the lid gently wiped and set aside. I may also try "sealing" it with cutting board protector to protect it better. The silverware is super useful, and I love, love, LOVE that it has fork/knife/spoon AND chopsticks in the set--the fabric holder to keep them tidy and in order was a delightful surprise when I opened it, too. So simple, but so useful! The leak-proof seals were nice and even seemed air-tight. The little wings to make corners for lifting were really useful for that. It is just so pretty AND so well made! I really like it and I'm really pleased with this purchase. Definitely as described or better!

I've been fascinated by bento videos for a while and wanted to try making bento for myself. And while I thought about getting a more traditional wood bento box the price was a little steep to make a commitment. The Umami bento box is so neat, and for the price is such a great little bento set to start with. It holds a surprising amount of food -- in the photos above, the bottom tier has 6 oz. teriyaki grilled salmon atop 1 cup of white rice in one section, and 1/2 cup of edamame and half an avocado and a cherry tomato in the other section. Then the top tier is cold snacks -- half an apple, one carrot cut into sticks, a mandarin orange, and the 2 included sauce containers, one for salad dressing, one with Nutella for the apple slices. So, that's my lunch plus both of my snack breaks fitting easily into this compact bento box! What's really great is that instead of packing each snack into a separate, disposable plastic bag, I just put them into the bento box with a divider between them. This box will also fit a silicone muffin cup perfectly, which is useful for items you don't want to mix with other stuff (like kimchi, or cucumber salad). Clean-up is very fast -- the boxes and lids (except for the bamboo top) go right into the top rack of the dishwasher. The only thing I don't like about this kit is the chopsticks that are included in the utensil set. They're too small to hold comfortably. But that's really a non-issue, I can just add full-size chopsticks to my lunch bag instead. The bamboo fork/knife/spoon work fine and look fancy.

This box was a lot smaller then I imagined it would be for something that cost 20 dollars. That not a problem as everything fit in nicely and make it so you watch your portion. On the plus side, it smallness give it a great advantage to be able to be carried around with easy in a backpack for school or even a bag as small as a purse. It comes with some nice bamboo utensils that I found out where broken so don't depend to much on those as you can buy some cheap somewhere else. For the food, I would really only trust this with non liquid foods as the seals does not seem that well to hold if the container Is held vertically. Other then that it a great little box just don't get your expectations high. Update: after using this lunchbox for a few days with a recipe book that I bought called effortless bento. I can gladly take back all the negatives I said about this bento as it might seem small for a 20 dollar box, it can hold a lot of food and would be great for someone who is trying to have a healthier lifestyle. My utensils that were broken were also replaced quickly by the good service of the customer service. I was able to receive a bag with utensils and a free bag. Overall. If you are someone getting into bento boxs I highly suggest you buy this brand or something like this as it has help me focus on what recipe I can make fit in the box and learn more about the Japanese lifestyle.

love this bento box. great size, design, and I have had no leaks. definitely a good product for the price and I love the silverware that comes with it.

The color is definitely the pink I like and I appreciate the double layers and the idea of the dividers. However the dividers move a lot/don’t stay in place. It’s expected since you can insert the divider anywhere but it was still a little sad that it moves literally when I’m eating… (if y’all r expecting this divider to stop liquid, it won’t). The utensils are nice to have but they’re frankly bulky and don’t even stay in the holder. While this is made by a French company, the inspiration is from Asian background and yet, standard chopsticks can’t fit in the utensil holder. The sauce containers are nice but NOT leak proof and while it’s dishwasher safe, please tell me how I can keep those litter things in place in any dishwasher? It doesn’t stay in place anywhere… or takes up an entire utensil section. Might as well hand dry and air dry on a napkin. Finally, the elastic strap… pretty weak honestly. It slides off every time I reach for the box itself. I can see it loosening too on its own overtime and I’ll have to use some random string to tie it. Oh and FYI u can’t just bring one layer with you, the elastic doesn’t even fit on one layer in any way… maybe if you can force a double loop… TLDR: Portion size is pretty decent, I wish I could just take one layer with me but what can you do. The layers seem to mostly be leak proof except for the sauce containers. They’re pretty easy to clean by hand anyways, I haven’t tried running the dishwasher as I already hand wash everything and use the dishwasher for drying purposes. Well, it fits in my bag for work - just barely with a little stretch (over the shoulder purse) - so I don’t need a lunch box bag. Looks very high quality, I like that it comes with two little pots for dips etc. Easy to clean, looks elegant and has plenty of space for a healthy packed lunch. Great value for money.

È composto da due vaschette impilabili che si chiudono in modo stabile e rimane compatto grazie all’elastico esterno, soluzione semplice ma molto efficace per il trasporto quotidiano, sia in borsa che nello zaino. La dotazione interna è uno degli aspetti che ho apprezzato maggiormente: oltre a cucchiaio, forchetta e coltello, sono incluse anche le bacchette, dettaglio non scontato e che secondo me rende il set particolarmente completo e versatile. All’interno si trovano inoltre due divisori, utili per separare alimenti diversi nella stessa vaschetta evitando che si mescolino tra loro e molto pratica è anche la piccola scatolina per salse e condimenti dotata di un proprio tappo, perfetta per aggiungere olio o altri dressing direttamente al momento del pasto, garantendo così la freschezza degli ingredienti. Su entrambi i coperchi delle vaschette sono presenti delle valvole mobili in silicone, utili per scaldare le vaschette in microonde così da mantenere il cibo caldo all’interno più a lungo. Dal punto di vista estetico il design è gradevole e moderno, in stile giapponese. Io ho scelto la versione effetto legno e nero, che trovo elegante e adatta sia all’ufficio sia all’università o in generale in qualsiasi contesto. L’unico appunto che mi sento di fare è che le vaschette non sono particolarmente grandi, ma ritengo che la capienza sia adeguata per un pasto completo ed equilibrato e, a mio avviso, per un utilizzo quotidiano risultano ben proporzionate. Un punto sicuramente a favore è la praticità: tutto il set è adatto sia al microonde sia alla lavastoviglie, caratteristica fondamentale per chi cerca una soluzione comoda e funzionale nella routine di tutti i giorni. In sintesi, un porta pranzo ben realizzato, accessoriato in modo intelligente e pensato per un utilizzo pratico e ordinato. Lo consiglio

The size of this little bento box is perfect for me. Not too big and can fit two dishes with the other container filled with rice (for an Asian styled lunch). I have used this to fit in sandwiches as well and it was no problem. No smells and easy to clean. I have this in my backpack when I go to work and no leaks! A bit on the pricer side but for what you get it is reasonable. Like the simple look of it as well.
