Perrigo 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Treatment Gel 2.1 oz

I recently started on testosterone shots and while it has been way too many years since I've been a teenager, the shots started to break out my chest, back, and upper arms with acne (cysts mainly). For the long time I could control them decently with salicylic acid - however it took weeks to get rid of some of the larger (4-6mm) cysts. I used washes as well as wipes and creams. Upon a recent visit with my physician, he advised a few things: 1. Do not use Rubbing Alcohol to clean pimples (it creates inflammation/swelling) 2. Salicylic Acid is more a preventer of new acne 3. Use Benzoyl Peroxide to get rid of stubborn acne 4. A good regimen of antibiotics will clear most breakouts (along with a reduction in testosterone) I received the Perrigo Benzoyl Peroxide in the mail 2 days ago and I am amazed at how quickly it worked. Literally overnight, 6-7 areas of my body improved at least 50% (meaning smaller, less red, and less inflamation/pain). Those same areas (now on day 3) are almost completely gone. I expect by tomorrow, they will be gone. My son has breakouts as well and I am planning on having him use some tonight. My hope is to get photos of the before and after - if I am able to, I will update this post with those. I could not be more pleased with the strength and efficacy is perfect for me. However, my only use is on my body at this point. I know that Benzoyl Peroxide can cause stinging and redness with some people. So, while the strength is good for what I am using it for, if you are using it on areas of your face (do not use on eyes, nose, and mouth), you may want a lessor strength than 10%.

I have struggled with teen acne for years. At first it was deep painful hormonal acne and then once I got to college I got these tiny bumps all over my forehead that would mot go away no matter what I tried. It wasn’t fungal acne so it couldn't be treated with dandruff shampoo or zinc. I tried benzoyl peroxide face wash and slowly started seeing improvement. I thought i’d pair it with this to maximize the effects and my acne cleared completely in about 2 weeks!! Now that I’m 19 my hormonal acne around my mouth is much better than it was but I still get a few deep underground pimples here and there. Now though I barely get any! Id ur struggling with any type of acne but especially stubborn tiny forehead pimples, GET THIS!!

Great product for my face that has been breaking out with acne like crazy. Really noticed a decrease in inflammation and size overnight. Only complaint is that it can cause your skin to get very dry and irritated but other than that it’s fantastic!

I bought this Perrigo 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Treatment Gel for my son’s puberty acne. We used it consistently as directed, but it didn’t work that well for him. There was little improvement in his breakouts, and we eventually had to get a prescription from the doctor to get better results. The gel itself is easy to apply and didn’t cause excessive dryness or irritation, which is a plus. It’s a standard benzoyl peroxide product and may work better for milder cases. Average option that just wasn’t strong enough for his needs.

Packed nicely, works effectively it’s really good.

I use it as spot treatment for my acne, as well as around my nose and chin where I do tend to get more blackheads and acne. It does not irritate my skin and I could use it alongside my tretinoin at night. One tube could also last a long time and is pretty cost effective, all things considered.
