Good Product
This is real silk cord. Passed my burn test. I'm happy with this product.

Does not appear to be silk material
Though I am no expert, I feel confident in my conclusion that this material is not silk. The price should have been the first clue, but I wanted to try anyway. The product description is ambiguous. The heading refers to “ “Shriya Silk Black Thread” … “Kala Dhaga Necklace Cord” … “Black Waxed Cotton Thread Beading Cord For Bracelet Necklace Jewelry” “Anant Dhaga Silk Thread” …After I cut the frayed ends off two exposed ends of the string, I applied the so-called burn test. There was no ash and it smelled like burning plastic. At least those ends are not frayed anymore. I will plan to provide an update after I put the string/cord to use on some necklace projects. There is nothing on the packaging that identifies the contents or material. What description there is appears to be related to the packaging itself (e.g., 100% recyclable plastic) rather than the product inside.

As described
One long piece of interlocking thread. I bought it for a karelian shungite stone I purchased on Amazon that came with super short choker (They called it a necklace, maybe for a doll) They contacted me but didn't send me more thread. So I bought this and it's too thick to go through the hole😳 atleast this looks like the photo.

0% silk content "silk" string
Melts like polyester or nylon. Smells like poly/nylon. No portion of the thread left unharmed by solvents of polyester/nylon. Definitely not silk. Do not buy if that matters.

Set angle or Cut
Mine did not come with a band across it or even really tied. It was a bagged up mess. I decided to cut it so now I have several strings of random lengths, which is fine for me because I didn’t want to spend hours detangling. Other than that, it’s exactly as described. Nice string
User
NOT silk! Fraudulent listing.
This item is advertised as being 100% silk, but a simple burn test shows that it most certainly is not. It’s some sort of synthetic.

Don't waste your money
The bunch has a bad spot in the middle. It's lumpy and frayed. The ends also fray easy and spread quickly.
User
Nice quality
It’s a very good quality thread.
