If you love Hans, buy this book!

The media could not be loaded. Super high quality, would recommend to experienced and beginner piano players who are fans of Hans Zimmer. I know that a lot of people who purchased this are upset at the lack of “essentials” but honestly you can go purchase those pieces at Musicnotes anyways. So people please stop complaining. You still get some of Hans Zimmer’s core pieces. Please buy this book it’s amazing. And would definitely recommend learning “Corynorhinus” first.

Realize level of difficulty is subjective, but doesn't have all the 'fullness" of chords & notes had hoped for. Admit biased having some pieces in other arrangements much 'truer" to the original score. Some reviewers indicated this book for more advanced players just don't see that. Suggest if you like a piece here but feel like it's "missing" something try the same song in a different, more complex arrangement. Appears that one may have to purchase some pieces individually to get a more complex arrangement.. While these relatively simplistic arrangements don't replicate the full dynamics of Hans Zimmer's compositions, some may enjoy these arrangements.

I've been playing piano for most of my life,and I'd consider myself at a moderate level. The music in this book is at a perfect difficulty level for me. It isn't too tough, but it isn't easy enough to play it perfectly on the first sitting. You'll have to practice the songs for a bit (but not too long), but once you get it down it all sounds brilliant. It perfectly captures the essence of Hans Zimmer's awesome music, and including a wide range of his music from Gladiator to Man of Steel.I would have preferred some different songs to some of the ones included, but that's just me. All in all, you'll have a blast playing through it all.

If you love the music in the movies he scored and can play piano WELL, you'll love this collection. It's NOT easy to just sit down and play unless you are an ACCOMPLISHED pianist but if you enjoy his music in the movies, you'll enjoy learning to play your favorites in n this collection.

The book looked a little used, so I was disappointed to give it as a birthday gift. :(
