A solid product
I’ve purchased a number of Plano products and have few, if any, complaints. This handgun ammo case is a well-made product. The one I purchased is listed as holding either 45 ACP, 40 S&W, or 10mm. I purchased this to put snap caps in, and I have a variety of 45 ACP, 40 S&W, and 9mm, and they all fit fine. I tried to put in some .38 caliber, but since this box was designed for shorter cartridges, they did not fit. I could not close the lid with the taller cartridges in the box.If there is any downside to this, I will say that the two latches that secure the lid to the body are a little difficult to lift over the tabs, but in this way, you won’t have to worry about the lid accidentally coming unfastened, because once set, it’s going to stay there unless you intentionally open it.If you put the cartridges with the primer end up, they are much easier to pick out of the case because of the rim at the bottom. I have also found if they are placed in that way, the bullets can lean forward and hinder the lid from closing. No complaints. It has plenty of room, so I just took the snap caps out of the front row.I’ve read some 4-star reviews about cartridges making a rattling sound. As I’ve had cases like this before, I was already expecting this. I mean, when you put a round metal item into a larger plastic square hole, it’s gonna move around some when jostled, and that will create some noise. Unless this kind of sound bothers you for whatever reason, it’s not a big deal, or any kind of deal at all. It’s a well-made, quality case and worth the money. Taken care of, the Plano products have lasted for decades.

Great little case
This is a great little case, perfect for smaller ammunition. I also use it to hold little vials like sample bottles and things like that. The clear top lets me see what I've got in there, and it came with labels to help me keep it identifiable.

Great company. Good product.
Good company to buy from. I order several & one was broken, I offered to return it & they said no. They did replace it. I got these to use a gift's. The people that got them like them also. Great company-great service. Will buy again if the need come along.

Perfect
I have nothing but good things to say about this ammo box. It does what it needs to, it's sturdy, the translucent lid is convenient for checking round count, the ridges on top and bottom allow them to stack perfectly. Don't think I could find something to complain about if I tried.

Loose fit for .40cal, but works.
I bought this to hold .40cal. I use it in my range bag to manage loose bulk ammo, or partial boxes.Everything about the quality of the box seems fine, but for the .45cal version (advertised to work with several other calibers), .40cal cartridges are a little loose. With the bullets facing down, they wobble a bit, and don’t line up in neat rows like they do in the boxed ammo carriers (which are sized perfectly for each caliber). One of the pictures shows the cartridges with the bullets up and primers down. In this orientation, the rounds are neatly lined up, but you cannot visually confirm the caliber stamped on the case, which seems like a good idea before you load your magazines.Once the lid is closed, the box seems great. It is a good size, stays closed & neat in any orientation, stacks well - I can easily fit 2 of these 100rd boxes plus a couple of 50rd boxes for other calibers in my bag. The loose fit bothers my OCD a little bit, but doesn’t seem to be a practical problem. If they offered a version that was sized perfectly for my .40cal rounds, I would give it 5 stars.

Love these
I have multiple caliber cartridges in my arsenal and these help keep everything organized. Eack comes with stickers for the intended caliber cartridges that you can write on as to bullet weight etc. Great for reloader too. They are heavy enough not to deform when loaded, and are stackable.

Good case.
Works well for .45 ACP.

Convenient, affordable, and robust -- perfect for .38/.357 reloads!
These Plano 100 Count Handgun Ammo Cases (for .357/.38spl) are great! They offer a robust, secure, conveniently stackable way to hold ammo in 100-round quantities. The lid snaps shut very securely with two stiff tabs, yet is relatively easy to open. The lid is sufficiently see-through so that you can tell at a glance how many rounds remain, without having to open the lid. It also has grooves in the lid so that when multiple containers are stacked, they are much less likely to slide around or off each other. The hinges also operate smoothly and seem durable.I haven't dropped one of these containers so I can't be sure of the overall durability; however, the plastic appears identical to many of Plano's more sturdily built plastic tackle boxes (which in my experience hold up very well, with great scuff resistance and good crack resistance). That said, if you dropped one of these containers while fully loaded with 100 rounds, the considerable, concentrated weight of all that ammo would likely be enough to crack the lid or bottom. That's really not the fault of this product, since these are mainly intended to be used as secondary organizers (not main containers), such as to keep .38/.357 reloads organized and protected inside a range bag. In that roll, they will be plenty durable.
