This product is great to join cables. I bought this because I had two cables so instead of buying another one just bough this to join them. I have not seen any difference on the internet.

This is not a home telephone wire connector. As someone else said, the openings are too large for todays home telephone wires and it is useless for that purpose. It is possibly usable in commercial installations.

some things are like the invention of the wheel, not much to change except may size, etc when/if/as needed... but like adding ethanol to gasoline, gov't or whoever eventually will for some ignorant(?) reason

Worked perfect for my needs
This is for the old school fatter phone plugs, not the typical plugs used today. Worked perfect for my needs, but double check for your specific use if this is the right part.

Useless. The cord fit fine in one side but would not go in properly and "connect" on the other side. Totally worthless item.

Nifty connector to extend LAN cables at home
Works as expected. Could not 2 long LAN cables to extend to another room in the centre of my apartment where i set up the Wifi Router.Highly recommended.

Nothing to write home about. If you need it, you know you're going to buy it anyway.
Quite a simple extender. No tech. Relatively cheap plastic but functions very well.If this is the only item you're going to buy, get it from a shop. It'll be cheaper, however if you have multiple items, might as well throw this in.
