Excellent BBQ relatively easy to assemble and cooks well. The adjustable fire pan gives a good range of heating options particularly with the lid down where thr oven quickly reaches a good cooking temperature.

This is the third VonHaus BBQ I've purchased and I've been extremely happy. They have excellent build quality, they take me longer to put together than the quoted time but I don't do it often. I've found the key to making it sturdy it's making multiple passes on the screws as the tighter you make all of them the better. The movable coal rack makes it easy to get the finish you desire and the temperature guage makes it easy to monitor without opening the lid constantly. The older BBQs that my friends have contain zero rust. They're all covered, so if you look after them - they last!! You have to get smoking wood chips as it makes a huge difference and makes it fun experimenting with different types. I first bought the large and loved it, it's ideal if you only really use it when you have guests or you have a larger household. My wife and I then went travelling, so I gifted it to friends who still use it and love it 5 years on. I then bought another large for a friend who still uses it and absolutely loves it. Now I've bought the smaller size. The reason for this is that I find that I use it regularly to cook dinner in the summer and it's generally just my wife and I. The smaller size means I use less coal and wood chips and it's less to clean. Last night I cooked for 5 and I just made it multiple courses and dished out as it were ready.

Well, let's start with the good. The build quality seems decent and well designed. However, with that said an important part snapped off inside. The part that holds the bar to raise and lower the tray is poorly stuck (can't call it welding) to the side. Came clean off. Was going to return it but it's costs to return and as it's heavy I'm not paying to return a £100 BBQ as will lose half the money. I drilled through the bracket and side of BBQ and secured it with a nut and bolt. Now it works as it should, albeit one hand injury later. Took about 3 hours to put together. It's much smaller than expected and I'd say good enough for one person or a vegetarian family. Also the grill is black. Meaning it's coated with toxic chemicals that will be in your food as it will melt under the heat and fire. Will be looking for a replacement. I like the fact the grill is in 2 smaller parts to make easier to clean in a sink at home though. Would I buy again? No I'd get the cheaper barrel BBQ for £36.

We needed a new barbecue as the old one didn't do so well after its winter hibernation. We opted for this one as it got good reviews and we have garage shelving made by VonHaus which I'm very happy with. I was able to build the barbecue by myself without difficulty. There were a couple of fiddly bits but there were no problems overall). The one tip I'd give for assembly is: get it all together and the screws "nipped up" before finally tightening everything. This will allow you to make sure everything is squared away and check all moveable parts do, indeed, move. The last piece to go on was the thermometer in the lid but when I unwrapped it I found it broken. I emailed Domu (the seller) just after 6 PM on the Monday, I had a reply on the Tuesday that they would send a replacement Which I received and fitted on the Wednesday. Excellent customer service - thank you Domu. It's a perfect size - not too big for when it's just the two of us but also managed fine when we had our inaugural bbq for ten. All round I'm very happy with it and wouldn't hesitate to recommend both the barbecue and the company.

Several issues with this product unfortunately! Firstly it said 'next day delivery' and this is one of the reasons why it was bought, however it didn't tun up until day 3. Secondly the instructions for assembly are poor and when assembled it's not as sturdy as you would expect for the price. There was also several small areas of damage to the grill and side pieces (chip marks and bent edges). Small grilling section as the cooking area and space for charcoal is far smaller than the bbq itself. My partner is a very seasoned and experienced barbequer and it was used once and not impressed at all and not used again since...he's gone back to the old £30 one from home bargains which is a far better bbq. Don't waste your money.

Easy to build, good instruction, used and good results, really like easy raising of charcoal to increase heat

Der Karton sah von außen reichlich ramponiert aus, aber die Teile innen waren nochmals sehr gut verpackt. Sehr gut fand ich, dass die Schrauben und sonstigen Kleinteile nochmals einzeln verpackt und mit Buchstaben gekennzeichnet waren. Diese waren in der Aufbauanleitung angegeben und haben den Zusammenbau erheblich vereinfacht. Knifflig war eigentlich nur der Einbau und die Fixierung der Kohleschale. Alle Teile und Schrauben waren vollständig und haben auf Anhieb gepasst. Ein kleines Problem war nur DPD. Sie haben es leider bei mir noch nie geschafft, eine Lieferung pünktlich zuzustellen, was anderen Lieferanten regelmäßig und oft auch vorfristig gelingt, obwohl ich in einem Dorf wohne.

Das montieren war etwas aufwendig.Alles in Einzelteile.Aber ein super Grill.
