Nice box made of thick not flimsy material once the plate is secured it feels firm and quite able to carry what I need, Water tight and stylish product and not as costly as givi

I bought this top box, the mounting kits, the panniers everything for a full luggage pack. The documentation state the panniers arrive with a spare lock, that you can transfer into the top box so you only have one key for all 3 pieces of luggage. Mine didn't fit. I contacted shad and was advised "that it was a replacement pannier lock and not for the top box"... so I pointed them to 2 websites that showed it SHOULD have contained a top box lock and a video from their OWN you tube channel (added around the time I purchased these) showing that I'm correct... They told me to use their official site and its no longer stated, but IGNORED the proof from THEIR youtube channel.

Never heard of Shad until a friend put them on his bike. Great price and quality was very good for the price. Universal fitting plate worked well with my F800s carrier although I had to buy separate nuts and bolts as the included bolts were too short although good quality. Size is exactly right for me takes s full face helmet and other items like gloves and scarf. Size looks like the right dimension for my bike and I wouldn’t want anything bigger. Not so sure the cargo piece is good for bungy cords or tying down anything but it helps open the lid and looks good. Shad branding is a bit big and is my only negative consideration.

I purchased this from Amazon Prime. Arrived the next day after ordering, well-secured. I've always preferred Shad over Givi (anything else may work but is less than average, trust me!). I will state that I owned this same model when I had my Honda CTX700 back in 2015. The 40L looks more "boxy" which fits the bike's lines much better than the Givi's, which are generally sleek but bubble-looking. This model NOW comes with a luggage rack that can be mounted on the top of the case. I wouldn't tie down anything too tight though as there are only 4 screws that hold it down...and those screws go into plastic. I'm sure if you tugged hard enough on it you could yank that thing off. This top case comes with the mounting plate so all you'd need to order is the Shad brackets. And since it comes with the mounting bracket you can secure the base to most any non-Shad rear rack. There are additional bolts that come with this for just that scenario. As for the quality - Shad is tough, durable and looks good. I bought this for my new 2018 Honda CB650F, which is a naked sports bike but has a more upright seating position. I mention this because NO LUGGAGE looks good on a sports bike! But I need something to hold my gear and, again, I like the way this 40L looks on the CB. It's boxy, not too big and serves my purpose. I can hold 1 full faced helmet (placing it on it's side) and has room for my rain gear and tool kit. The Shad 40L has a fold-out handle for carrying like a suitcase. It's an easy-on / easy-off locking mechanism. It also has a brake light and backrest option, but I have no intention on getting these items. I will add...if you plan to go with the Shad brackets I will tell you they are better looking than the Givi's. The Shad has two arms that mount on each side of your bike. That's it! Whereas the Givi's have the 2 sides PLUS an ugly bar that goes across the back of your motorcycle, either above or below your brake light. And it's hideous-looking! (But I have owned Givi cases and they're rock solid.) Finally, the Shad case I bought on Amazon was actually CHEAPER than what Shad itself sells them for!!! I even called Shad to tell them this. They didn't know why. (Ha!) So, great case, nicely designed and serves my purpose.

Facile à installer sur ma petite moto, remplit parfaitement son rôle. Je roule à moto principalement pour me rendre au travail, donc j'y dépose mon Eastpack pour y aller, et une fois sur place j'y laisse mon casque (HJC C70 large avec intercom Lexin B4FM), mes gants, mon coupe-vent Richa et mon cache-cou. Avec tout ça il ne reste pas beaucoup de place. Mais ça rentre. La partie cargo se monte à l'aide 4 vis et de joints, mais il en manquait une. Donc contact avec Amazon qui' m'a offert 5€ de remboursement, et du côté de Shad ils n'ont pas de pièces de rechange. Donc je dois encore aller au magasin pour acheter une vis de remplacement. Top Case efficace, armature facile à monter, design utilitaire qui ne fait pas moche style bobone qui va faire des courses sur son scooter, pas trop grand pas trop petit (pour mon usage). Je recommande cet article adapté à mes envies et au gabarit de ma moto 125cc.
