I’ve tried quite a few hair products over the years and this is definitely one of the better ones. The clay gives a strong hold that lasts all day, but still keeps a natural, matte finish – no shine or greasy feel at all. It’s easy to apply once you warm it up in your hands, and you only need a small amount, so the tin should last a while. It holds my hair in place without making it feel stiff or crunchy, which is a big plus compared to gels or cheaper products. The ingredients are also a nice touch – feels like a more premium product and doesn’t irritate my scalp. Only downside is the price, which is a bit higher than high street alternatives, but in my opinion it’s worth it for the quality. Overall: Highly recommended if you want a clean, natural style with reliable hold.

I've been really happy with Brickell Men’s Styling Clay Pomade. It gives a strong hold that lasts all day without making my hair feel stiff or crunchy. The finish is matte, so it looks natural and not greasy. It’s easy to apply — just use a small amount, rub it between your hands, and work it through your hair. It also smells clean and subtle, and it washes out easily. I have fairly short hair, so a little goes a long way, so I think the pot will last for ages! It does cost more than supermarket brands, but the quality makes it worth it. I would definitely buy it again. Over the last year or two I have been slowly changing all my products to Brickells as I haven't tried one yet that I dont like.

This product gives a strong hold with a proper matte finish, so your hair stays put but still looks natural. You only need a little blob - it goes on easily, doesn’t feel sticky....and it washes out easily, which is always a bonus. It's a bit more expensive than some others, but its made of natural ingredients and gives you a natural look with good hold that's especially good for messy styles or anything textured.

45yr old male, full head of fine/thin hair. Currently growing out and mid length, used to be short. I chose this as it is listed as the strongest hold on the Brickell website, I like my hair to be firmly held in style. The smell is mild and pleasant, consistency not tacky. I've tried applying various quantities (too much becomes noticeably greasy) and from towel dried to bone dry hair to find the sweet spot. Unfortunately as my hair is quite fine and getting longer, plus I wear a crash helmet, getting the solid firm hold I require to maintain style just doesn't seem possible with this type of hair product. I think if you prefer a more floaty 'finger through restyling' hairstyle, or have thicker/shorter hair it would be more suitable. I will continue to try once my hair is 'Tom Cruise' length as the mild hold will fit that style better, but for now I need a strong matt clay and hairspray to maintain height and keep it in place. 4 stars as although it isn't right for now, I see no reason it won't be later on, and may well have been great if I had my usual shorter hair and no crash helmet!

This is a great product, just like the other products from this company that I have used in the past.It holds hair well and has a matte finish. There is no peculiar smell with it either, and it only needs a small amount - a little goes a long way. I previously used a more popular hair care brand of clay, but that product became harder to find, so I decided to try this since I like other Brickell products. I wasn't disappointed. And this will be my go-to hair clay for the future.

Been using it daily for a couple of months now. The hold is strong without feeling stiff or crunchy. My hair stays in place through a full day at work, and I can still run my fingers through it to restyle. The matte finish is spot on, no greasy shine or wet look. Absolutely awesome product! I am such a big fan of Brickell products and this is no exception. Upon opening, the product has a really subtle but fresh scent. Having applied it to my washed and dried hair, it styles fantastically well with no stickiness and gave a very nice firm hold with a Matt finish. It has been the easiest product to wash out that I have experienced. It looks like it will last really well too with a little going a long way. This is my first experience of a natural hair styling product. I will certainly be coming back for more when my current pot runs out. Just buy it, you won’t be disappointed.

Top quality ingredients. Great subtle smell. Overall, excellent. The consistency of the product is definitely that of clay. Apply strategically to wet hair for a more sculpted hold, rub between dry palms and add a little bit of water to spread more uniformly throughout hair. Overall application is pretty easy once you get used to it in, depending upon how you want to utilize the product. Smells a little like something you might find at a hardware store, but not in an unpleasant way. Definitely subtle, and suggesting of good ingredients with no added fragrance or coloring. Even the quality of the ingredients, the size you receive is decent, and depending on how much you use of course, can last quite a while. I will say a little bit goes a long way. At least it did for me. The hold of the product I’d say is medium. It’s not crunchy or crispy like hair gel, but more pliable and stable throughout the entire day. Leaves less of a shine and more of a matte finish and I will say after a week of use, hair seemed to have more volume and was healthier. Rinses out relatively easy, but would recommend utilizing a good clarifying shampoo once in a while, as the product does build up a little bit with repeated use. Would purchase again. Even with the smaller size, given the quality of the ingredients I felt like I got quite a bit for my money. Update February 2026. Love this. I have ordered 2 more. The quality, fold, pliability and smell are outstanding. Really great!

After an internal battle with myself to change my existing hair product was a huge internal struggeand I finally decided to give the Pomade a try. It did not disappoint! Another great product from Brickell. The packaging is elegant, classy and very compact. The compact size is perfect for travel or carry bag away for the weekend. The high quality of the ingredients and the organic nature is a big plus. The scent is subtle yet the hold strong and long lasting. My hair is important to me so I am conscious of my hair products. The Pomade has a smooth texture and is easy to apply. I apply it to damp hair and the hair holds well throughout the day. I can run my hands through the hair and it has a nice feel to it. It has a matte finish and the hair has a clean non-greasy look and feel. Even better than my existing product which leaves my hair stiff. I would highly recommend this product. It is a high quality, effective, easy to use and low maintenance.
