Gefen is a great company with many reliable products, this is not one of those.
Software is horrid. It requires 3rd party virtual server to function. The control program is basically a scheduling timer. Can not run a slide show. It only shows movie files. Needs a thumb drive to even function. Can not link to weather or any other live updates. Tech support recommended not using the software as shown in the manual because it's so bad. They recommend using third party software. I got it to work but it was painful. This is a poor media player and a non-functional digital signage box. I do this stuff for a living. Avoid this box at all costs. Gefen is a great company with many reliable products, this is not one of those. The web site made it look like I could manage my multiple signage boxes easily from one location. Yikes, that couldn't be more wrong.
