Essential Pack Stem Cutter

Holiday Design makes a great product. I purchased several Flower Stem cutters for my business. I am extremely satisfied by their easy installation and smooth cutting blade. They are also very durable we use then non stop every day.

This cutter works great. We fastened it to a piece of 1/2" plywood and can clamp it to any work surface.

If you're going to do your own wedding flowers you will definitely need one of these. We ordered our flowers from global rose (which I recommend highly) and saved a ton of money. However, they come closed and you should trim the ends and put them in water to let them open. I seriously cannot imagine hand-cutting 1000 rose stems plus all of the daisies, alstromeria, sunflowers and mums we ordered. It would have taken us literally all day. However, with this little baby, we were able to get them all unboxed, trimmed and in buckets of water within about an hour and a half (and the unwrapping part was the most time-consuming). For most of the roses I was able to cut through about 2 dozen stems at once with ease. There were some roses with thicker stems and those I could still do at least a dozen at a time. HUGE time saver. I did have my fiance bolt it to a very heavy cutting board that I had and that made it really nice and sturdy. Overall I saved a ton of money on my floral arrangements this way and got exactly what I wanted.

This blade is being used to cut bunches of flower stems at once. It works much better than floral scissors for that purpose. The downside is that its stability depends on the base that you build for it. If it's bolted to a wooden tabletop, great. If you make a base that's small enough for it to be portable, then it needs to have some sort of anti-slip surface underneath it. It comes with a small stone to hone the blade with. Be sure to remember where you put it, because it's easy to lose! Finally, it is Made in China - in case that matters to you. I think this cutter is better than most in its price range.

This is an all metal design. Very heavy duty. Do happy with it!

It works Great!!! Built a cutting table and bolted it to it... Be very careful because it has a Very Sharp blade. Planning to order a second one today...

I have been cutting flowers individually by hand for years and have never been more excited about a product! It cuts my work load into a fraction of the time I have previously been spending. I absolutely LOVE this tool. It is light and easy to handle. I mounted it to a board, and then placed it on top of my Hefty plastic trash barrel. The clippings fall right in with minimal cleanup time. When finished, I wipe down the blade with disinfectant, then oil with WD40 and wipe.
