Lu Yu wrote that the tea leaf is the most important part of a tea session. I did not really believe that until I discovered this tea. Most teas require tightly controlled brewing parameters and specific teaware to be enjoyable. This stuff simply does not care. You can dump 12g in a 1L carafe, let it sit for five minutes or so and decant into a heated thermos. It will be the best tea you have ever had with a natural sweetness that defies explanation. Or, as shown, drop five balls in a Styrofoam cup and add hot water and it is still fantastic. The dragon balls unfurl into long bud and leaf clusters that fill whatever you are brewing in. I take these with when I travel because they deliver amazing results with substandard conditions and equipment where other leaves simply cannot thrive.

This tea has a great flavor. I can get three cups of tea out of one pearl. I like that with the pear I don’t overuse the amount of tea that is needed.

Lovely, malty tea. I have reordered this several times. Nice deep red color. Steep longer (5-7 minutes) for more maltiness, or less time (about 3 minutes) for lighter flavor. With a shorter steep you can reuse and get maybe three cups. I use three balls per cup. Yummy!!

Delicious. It's exactly what I was expecting. I have been using 3 pearls and get multiple 10oz brews. This is the first time I have tried pearls. I like the consistency.

Brewed it exactly per instructions on the front of the bag with 3 pearls. Yields a second brewing just as good as the first as is the case with any high quality tea. Also, excellent with a few drops of via Doria lemon oil sold here on Amazon. Used distilled water
