Requires a modest amount of water pressure to work (like the level of pressure in a normal sprinkler line). Will not pass water if the valve is less than about half open. Most of the time that's no problem unless the application is intended for a low pressure line (like a small pump).

broken seal out of bag
back flow what else to say. when water was turned on it sprayed out the seam where it joins together. Had to replace. Not a big deal but redoing the pipes was. Toss in garbage and get another one. No one else has seemed to have this problem so I guess I got a bad one. The other one I used worked.
