Lots of good information and easy to understand.

Purchased this textbook for my Epidemiology class and I actually really enjoyed this book. It had topics that interested me and it was also a very easy read. This is book was very helpful for taking my online tests. Came in good condition for being used as well.

I bought this book for an epidemiology class I was taking. The concepts in the book are difficult. There were times when I had to do alternative research to supplement the book. However, this book increased my knowledge of epidemiology thousand fold. I will be keeping this book as a reference book for a long time to come.

This book has information about the population and the growth of diseases. The book contains fascinating examples of measuring of new and old illness.

I concur with other reviewers that a lot of supplementary material would be necessary to use this textbook in a class, especially at upper division or grad level.Although the typeface used in this book is good, the color scheme is not attractive.Shades of orange are the only color (along with black/white/gray) used in charts and graphs. This makes for an uninviting textbook.

Full of information and very useful in explaining the different study designs. The calculations for rates are broken down with examples so you can follow along and the end of chapter questions and resources are great for testing your knowledge.

Older book, easy to read, clearly written with a lot of great information. I learned a lot in this class from this book.
