Peter Green and Splinter Group—“Soho Live at Ronnie Scott’s”
Great representation of Peter Green’s guitar mastery in a live recording at legendary Ronnie Scott’s club in London, April 1998. The legendary guitarist is in fine form nearly 30 years post the original Fleetwood Mac. Splinter Group provides excellent support for Green. Included are original compositions in electric blues from the blues-based Mac era, a couple r&b tunes, and an acoustic set from the “Robert Johnson Songbook” by Green and Splinter group. The beautiful smooth and expressive tone of Green’s playing is still present; his voice is weary and hoarse but still distinguishable., reflecting the “Man of the World”. The music world is richer for his presence and huge talent.
