Good starting knife for a diy-er
Started doing drywall projects in my own home, first with the cheapest knife I could get at a big box store. This is such a necessary upgrade it has a great flex to it and is very forgiving for a beginning drywall diy-er

Is it really stainless steel
A professional drywall man I know who is really good at his craft recommended this manufacturer. I bought a complete set years ago when I was doing a lot of remodeling in my home and was amazed at the improvement in my workmanship vs the box store tools I originally purchased. Especially when using the timed set powder vs premixed in a bucket. Gave them to my nephew since I didn't think I needed them anymore until a relative decided to leave a reminder of their visit with their suitcase as they brought it into the house. I've read reviews of people buying other stainless steel blades were magnetic so I checked the one I received and it isn't. Quality still is as nice as the original set I bought 10 years ago.

Blackstone griddle cleaner
I have(3) Blackstone griddles and the blackstone /knifescraper is way too stiff and does not work ! However the Hyde 5" knife is the same exact size but a lot more flexable and does an awesome

Good but not for me
This knife is good, it does the job and resists rust compared to steel knifes. Perhaps it's personal preference but Its a bit more flexy than I thought, with a thinner handle. Ive been using a older 6inch with stiffer blade and a wider black plastic handle that I feel more in tune with the wall. Perhaps its more of a mental thing and I need to acclimate to it. Just something to take notice if you're picky like me.

The bomb
This model is definetly stainless steel. I clean it with my stainless steel wore brush after a good dsys work with some clr and bam . The blade doesn't bend to much after use. Other manuf. taping knife like level5 with stay bent after apply pressure on one end while feathering in. It also comes with a really good blade guard to help from any accidental dropage and pretty darn sharpe. refommend habing for any diy’er or professional

We used this for scraping paint from the side of large trailers!
I know it's not labled as a scraping knife, it worked well for us in that application! Strong construction (used on a long extension pole), we used it to scrap old peeling paint from storage trailers before repainting. Only thing we had to change for our use, was we ground the sharp pointed edge into a curved part, as to not tear into the surface when going over rivets.

Quickly became a favorite
I'm so used to using a 4 inch for taping and a large square knife for top coating that I hesitated to buy this 6 inch version. I've switched entirely to stainless, as most of my jobs are small patches and I don't have time or facilities to do a thorough cleanup until I get back home. Despite my love for my older tools, I have found myself more and more grabbing this one instead. I think it's not just the shape, it's also the balance - it just feels great and it fits into tighter spaces.

Best putty knife there is.
These putty knives by Hyde are likely the best money can buy. I have 30+ years experience as a plasterer, and have tried just about every brand through the years. These are comfortable in the hand, well balanced, and are made of durable material. The blades last and keep their shape better.

La rolls pour moi
Une valeur sûre, je suis artisan peintre. Et fais des kilomètres carré de ratissage. J'ai donc essayé bon nombres de couteaux en tout genre et ceux là gardent ma préférence. Parfait
