Cable Matters Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter (Mini DP to HDMI) in Black - Thunderbolt and Thunderbolt 2 Port Compatible

I bought this product back in 2017 and I still use it today!! Since my Surface Pro 3 laptop doesn't have an HDMI cable slot on the side, I used this adapter to connect the HDMI cable to my laptop to my television- for study group sessions and it worked great! I'm very satisfied with the quality of it, especially since it's marked at a great price. As I mentioned before, I purchased this product in 2017 and it still works great to this day. The pictures I posted along with the review demonstrate how I use the adapter and it also shows an estimate of the size of it. Pros: -adapter is made of good quality, or at least that's what I think since it has worked very well since I purchased it 2 years ago - it's not bulky, at all and it's easy to carry in the laptop bag anywhere I go - adapts with any HDMI cable - great price - arrived fast Cons: -I truly don't have any issues/cons with this product.

I bought this Mini Displayport to HDMI since I have a 2014 Macbook Air that I wanted to connect to the new screen that I recently bought. I didn't want the hassle of constantly unplugging a different HDMI cable from the monitor so I decided to get an adapter so I can just connect to that one HDMI cable. I have a PC for work and a Mac for home use so this works out pretty well. User Friendly/Design: The design is pretty simple and not too bulky. The part where it says "Cable Matters" appears to be plastic which is fine but doesn't seem to be the best quality. Not a big concern though. The adapter isn't too long so it doesn't take up too much space. You just plug in an existing HDMI cable into one end and plug in the Mini DP part into the Macbook Air. It is basically fool proof. Material: The wire itself for the adapter appears to be slightly thinner than most of the HDMI cables that I have bought. I like this because of the ability to stow away more easily. The plugs are gold plated which supposedly makes connection better. I haven't seen any difference since it has been working the way it should be. Only time will tell whether or not this adapter will hold up. This adapter is affordable, convenient, and easy to use. I would recommend this to anyone who is in the market as it is also easy to store away.

When I first bought my computer/tablet I had no clue all the accessories I would need to buy just to make normal things work like a whole separate attachment to use CDs or Dvd’s; or this HDMI adapter for example. When I first got all my accessories my dad told me to go for the name brand sold by the company because its “always better” however in this case he was sorely mistaken. After about two months of use my brand name adapter broke so I ordered this one; not only did it come in quicker than expected it worked much better. My adapter outlived my HDMI port! So if you’re looking for a cheap, reliable adapter look no further!

This product works great for when you need that special adapter plug and it comes in handy computers I use to see on a second monitor.

This adapter was purchased to connect a Surface Pro tablet computer directly to a large screen monitor, and it works perfectly. It is a lower cost than the brand name adapters (Microsoft, Belkin, etc.) which contributes highly to making this a purchase I can recommend.

I love this thing. It WORKS GREAT! I have never had any issue with it since I received it (April 2014 ). I use it every time I travel to stream all kinds of media content, including Netflix, Amazon Prime, UltraViolet movies, etc. I have connected and reconnected it A LOT. I use it in hotel rooms, so when I leave the room, I unplug it from my Surface Pro 2 so I can put it away, then when I come back, pull out my Surface Pro 2 and plug it back in. I probably connect / disconnect a lot more than your average user. You cannot beat it for the price, very good quality as far as I am concerned. I have 24+ years working with computers and cables. I have seen cheap cables, this is not one!

This is a great cable for older computers or laptops. I use this cable on a late 2011 MacBook Pro 13 inch. It worked the minute I plugged it in without hand glitches and distorted images. The one thing to note for MacBook Pro is that if you want to close your lid and keep the monitor or tv still with the desktop so you can save space, you have to have it plugged in all the time. TL;DR A great working cable that costs less then most on amazon

These adaptors work exactly as it says on the tin. Though I bought the wrong product version at checkout, which was wholly m6y own mistake. Nonetheless, just as described in the listing, they've provided seamless Full HD (1080p) resolution to a new monitor. The most important part of that for me, is the video was being sent from a somewhat antiquated Surface Dock 1. Which is excellent, as I've tried a fair few alternatives to reach this point. So, I've since ordered a pair of the *8K* adaptors, from the same Cable Matters brand (DisplayPort out, not HDMI). My fingers will remain crossed that they too will play nice with the Surface Dock 1. Though now I'm feeling pretty confident they will. These Full HD versions? I'll certainly keep them as the performance is solid, and they'll certainly find a use over here. Impressed with this brand, and the no-nonsense approach to specs, build quality, and results. I'll be buying more products from them in the future, no doubt.

Crystal clear sound and picture -- much better than the old-school VGA that never seems to die. Also, unlike the majority of VGA connectors I've had, there are no pin issues that give sketchy pictures or bizarre colors as it wear out. Good product. I've used it over 100 times now and still works perfectly. Recommended.

Funciona perfectamente

Purchased this adapter for Lenovo T430S and it works flawlessly for both outputs: video and sound. Also, the adapter looks very sturdy and clean. Product in fact looks slightly nicer than the photo. It does not have the 'cheap material' look, which is always a plus. A very good product for a good price. If I need another adapter to convert from Mini DisplayPort to HDMI, I will purchase this again.

J'avais besoin de ce cable pour relier mon macbook air en HDMI à ma télé. Et oui le macbook air n'a pas de sortie HDMI, et le cable vendu par apple est autour de 50€ donc prix imbattable. Fonctionne très bien, après dans le temps je ne sais pas mais je l'utilise seulement une a deux fois par mois donc me convient très bien.
