I found out that my fur baby was bleeding from one elbow. It looked very dry and was probably cracking every time she laid on the kitchen floor. I tried a formula I made to protect her paws in the winter for her elbows, but it was too hard with most of it being beeswax. This elbow balm was better because it was softer and easy to apply. She even stays still while I apply it! Amazing! That tells me that she likes it. I have used it a few times already and I have noticed the callus is getting softer… it works well! Yes, the 1 oz tin is expensive and small, but a little goes a long way.

After a couple weeks of only using 1-2 times a week, the hair is coming back!!! 10/10 will recommend to all!!!

I purchased this for my dog, who has the beginning of a callus on one of her elbows. I just received this product a few days ago, so while I can't write about its long-term effectiveness, there are some things that I can say about this product. For starters, the 2-ounce quantity that I purchased will last a long time. I am guessing that it will last for at least one-hundred applications, and possibly a lot more than that. The elbow butter is easy to apply, and does not really have much of a smell to it. I was concerned that my dog would attempt to lick it off after application, but that has not been a problem at all. My dog just ignores it, which is exactly what I want her to do. Again, I can't say yet whether or not this Blissful Dog Organic Elbow Butter is helping with my dog's elbow callus or not, but I have to think that it will. Overall I am pleased with this product. This WORKS!!! I have tried several things on my dog even prescription with no relief. I got this balm to put on his elbows and I was surprised how fast it started working to soften his skin. I mean he really loves it. He begs for it. His respect and admiration for me has increased three-fold since using this product. He's in disbelief when I rub this tasty treat on his elbows. Based on the reviews, I tried using it only before walks - he rushes through the walks, mouth-watering in anticipation for his next application. I tried using it before sleep time; poor guy was so tired the next day after pulling an all-nighter lapping up this scrumptious balm. On the plus side, it's a great training aid. All I have to do is carry around the 1 oz, pocket-sized can and old Huck will obey any command. He sits, he stays, he'll even attempt a roll-over for a quick elbow treat. Along with his mood, I think the calluses on his elbows may have also improved.

I love this stuff. Works great. I have a 95lb Chesapeake Bay Retriever. Works miracles on elbows. He has hair on his elbows no callises . It works on everything. I use on myself too. I rub on my finger nails to strengthen them!! Love it

For those with bigger dogs, a known struggle can be the hairless elbow patches. A lot of times this is simply caused by your dog coming down too hard and leaning on tough surfaces. This elbow butter has been a great solution because it helps to moisturize the afflicted area and speed up the healing process. It is luck safe and has a soft fragrance to it. My dogs skin is already looking better!

We purchased this product for our 10 month old Chesapeake Bay Retriever who is developing a callus on one elbow. We have been using this 2-3 times a day for about a week now and we have already noticed a huge improvement in his callus!! It is no longer scaly and flaking and certainly seems to be well moisturized. We even feel as though the callus is beginning to thin. We are shocked that it is working so well and as quick as it is and are so happy we caught the callus early. We purchased the Elbow Butter in stick form, and it is very easy to apply so he isn’t bothered by it at all and doesn’t try to lick it off. We couldn’t recommend this product enough!!!
