Review: This cookbook should come with a dictionary stand - This is massive, large, and extremely heavy with lots of color photos and glossy paper. And a lot of recipes, all of which seem to be very well documented and tested, as expected from Kimball. Iโve made several, sticking to their ingredients and processes (which I seldom do) and they were excellent. Itโs perfect for a pandemic when cooking is one of three things you can entertain yourself with. It has a heavy emphasis on various international cuisines so youโll need to stock up on some things you may not have around. They give you a good roundup of these ingredients at the beginning. Did I say this thing is big? Review: More than I Expected - I really enjoy the variety of recipes, the attention to detail and the lovely photographs. For the most part, the ingredients are readily available in a grocery store and the rest can be found online or at an international store. This is a great book for someone who wants to try new cuisines and expand their use of herbs and spices. I purchased the Kindle version and the layout is flawless.

Recipes from around the world, adapted for American home cooks
I've made many of the recipes in this volume, and they've all been a delight--a way to imagine and connect to far-away places from the confines of my humble kitchen. And everything I've made has been very tasty.

The Za'atar of Cookbooks
Of all the cooking shows that have ever been produced or are currently in production, Milk Street is by far the best. So it stands to reason that their recipe book is also the best. The same quality production values in the show are also in the book. Great camera work is used in the book, just like in the show. The text reads easily and one almost hear Christopher Kimble say the words. Just like show, which is rich in content, variety, and explanation, so too is this book. Buy it and dive into a culinary experience unlike any other.

Great but doesn't have descriptions of the places and cultures like the smaller volumes do... the
Recipes from around the world. Really wonderful. Allows you to discover spices or combination of spices you might have never tried. I am just a little disappointed because the narratives about the far off places and cultures are left out to make room for all the recipes....I was looking forward to that but it makes sense...otherwise it would have to be broken down into volumes.

The cookbook will actually get used
Most people have a bunch of cookbooks that look great, sound great, but then you explore the recipes and they are either to complicated or have ingredients that are so far fetched and will take forever to find, so you just either skip the recipe or substitute in and then the dish isnโt the same and youโre underwhelmed. Milkstreet is NOT that cookbook. Milkstreet has become the cookbook that we use most of the time to look up how to do certain things or if we have some piece of protein and we are bored with how we usually cook it and we want some inspiration. Simply put, itโs awesome. We are thinking of buying it for our other foodie friends itโs so good. Definitely highly recommended.

Fabulous ...very handy ebook
The ebook version is ideal for portable inspiration in the kitchen- I do not enjoy cooking, but these recipes are so inspiring I cannot help trying them. Lots of recipes that do not rely on meats to complete a meal, for those looking for more veggie options. Recipes do cover clearly the cooking of meats, and the recipes in general are very detailed and clearly presented instructions. Something for everyone, for all occasions

Great cookbook with loads of recipes
I watch the Milk Street show on tv and like the recipes shown, I especially like that they often arenโt very involved or use lots of exotic not so available ingredients. The downside of the cookbook is it is big and heavy. It does seem to have recipes from the show and beautiful pictures.

Practical and tasty recipes
Step by step instructions for each recipe, tips for beginners, all regular ingredients that are easy to find and full page color pictures! I love the book and the easy way to follow the recipes, as well as the indication about the time to cook each dish. Flavours are from different countries and provide variety for meals at home. I found it unpretentious and practical. Recommended!

My number one resource for cooking different cultural dishes
They had a good cook book before but appear to be finding their knitch now. Recipes featuring different cultural dishes are a stable and greatly appreciated. Their present focus on identifying different cooking techniques is quite exciting. I have tried many and they have improved my overall cooking techniques. They stay fairly close to using culturally appropriate ingredients but do substitute when ingredients may be difficult to find. Although I prefer the original ingredients, I do appreciate when they find a good substitute for one that I can't find.

Great cookbook
If you like the show, this book is a great companion. Even if you donโt know the show, this book is a great addition to your cookbook collection. I like the idea of taking common recipes from around the world that are not as familiar to NA cooks and making them accessible to the home cook. The book itself is very high quality with excellent pictures.
