The Young Learner's Bible Storybook: 52 Stories, over 100 Activities

We bought this book for our 3yr old son with some Valentine's money he received. This is hands down one his favorite books already. He brings it to me to read several times a day. There are 52 stories from the bible , presented in an easy digestible format for preschoolers. More in-depth then a toddler resource, but not overwhelming for this age. At the end of each story, there is a song, scripture passage, prayer, and an activity to do, plus parental notes. There are also basic skills reinforcement thought out the book such as number recognition, positional prepositions, directionality, opposites, auditory discrimination, and etc. Each story has a reinforcement focal point and those are highlighted throughout the story ( like the numbers during the creation story).As a parent and educator, I can appreciate the effort that the author has put in with respect to presenting the religious education in a clear, easy to understand format with colorful illustrations. My son is so eager to learn more about the people in the bible, prayers, and more about our lord. We are actually Catholic, and this book is protestant, but that does not detract from the learning process or the stories, after all , they are the same people doing the same things. I highly recommend this book as supplement to any home school, christian preschool, church, or your own child's library.

I am very disappointed when I opened the package and found that the copy I received was used. (The page Presented to:________By: ________ was filled out.)I was under the impression for the price I paid this would be a new copy. I had purchase another copy from Amazon that was brand new and cheaper.I like the book but did not appreciate not getting a new copy.

Great bible for teaching 2 year olds to five year olds. The illustrations arent great but ok.

Someone gave me this book at my baby shower and we started using it for our "family nights" every week when my children were 2 and 5. They loved it soooo much that I now use it for the main curriculum in my church's preschool sunday school class. It is a treasured book to my kids and its influence lives on!

The stories in the book are great! I am happy to have it. It was listed in "good" condition, but I was disappointed that it had water damage.

this book will last a few yrs & the many activites in it keep lil ones occupied & enjoying learning about the Bible, have bought several for friends kids too & they love it

I like that this book combines learning about toddler type topics (opposites, numbers, sounds, touch, etc.) while learning about God. The actual lessons are great and each also have another topic - the one I read today with my daughter talked about smooth vs. rough while teaching a new testament story about Peter and Jesus.
