I bought one from the official website, tachshaver.com, after watching their commercials dozens of times. That one operates with a regular AA battery, and it is the same price, $19.99, as this one on Amazon. I did get a second one for an additional $6.95. However, on the website they want another $25 for a rechargeable one, so I bought the rechargeable one from Amazon! That website is very deceptive, because they don't tell you about the extra $25 until you have started the purchase process, which I find rather disappointing. Both of my shavers work well. I have had name brand electric shavers in the past, and these work just as well, if not better. The size is great, and it really does fit into a pocket. I keep the battery one in my car, and I use the rechargeable one at home. For $50 I got 3 cheap and useful shavers, instead of a typical $50 single one. From past experience, you still have to replace the blades 4 or 5 times a year. They sell replacement blades on the website for $8. I have always used superior Gillette razors, but the blades keep getting more and more expensive, and they don't last a week! The tach shaver is easier to use, and more convenient. I do believe this should be a helpful review

After watching the TV ad I ordered the Bell & Howell portable men's shaver ... the first one arrive defective and it was returned. The second one arrived which I have used for 3 months 2-3x per week on days I don't use a razor. The unit is broken now and unusable. The reason, when you take the top off to clean the shavings there are three heads that are spring loaded. The heads routinely dislodge and are difficult to put back properly especially if the spring flys off and you can't locate them which has now happened making the unit, unfortunately useless.

I paid $20 for the rechargeable model and very happy I did. It will replace my bulky Norelco shaver AND really bulky charging stand. The TAC is about the size of a credit and very lightweight. Somewhat cheaply made and I don't expect it to last more than a year or so. I used it out of the box to shave and it actually was better than the older Norelco (I have sharpened the Norelco blades a couple of time). While it does have a USB charging cord, you still need to plug in the USB end into some charging devise. I am using my computer but may switch to a different source, such as a portable battery charger or existing Smartphone charger. Instructions say to rinse the head but I blew the debris from the head. You probably could also use one of those air cans used to clean computer keyboards. Very glad I bought it but I do not plan to use for everyday use. To me it is well worth the $20 (do NOT buy from the TACShaver web site. . . . they charge $20 but if you upgrade to my model, they charge another $20. Buy from Amazon or Wal-Mart to get the deluxe model for $20. Enjoy!

It does a fairly good job on my peach fuzz on my face; however my husband attempted to use it on his face and was not satisfied with it. I just got it yesterday, so I'll try it some more and see how it performs. I have not had it long enough to rate the battery life. It was very easy to use, and I think it will travel well, due to it's small size.

I should have read the reviews before purchasing this shaver. It looks good but does NOT work as advertised. It barely cuts any hair. Hubby tried to use it to shave his face. He said he had to go over the same area time after time for several minutes before he felt any difference at all. I then tried to use it to shave my legs. After several minutes there was a slight difference. To us, it is definitely not worth the money.

I had a Philip Norelco Electric Razor and wasn't happy with it any longer. This one is great. I haven't tried it in the shower yet but I do Trust that it will work. The box it comes in has Wet or Dry on the front of it. Plus it's what the Military uses & I'm a NAVY Veteran

An easy to use wet or dry shaver, quick to charge and quite a close shave if used with a little shaving gel. Would buy again if its life span proves to be a couple of years.

Works well however probably not real useful for full time shaving but it can reach these one or two spots your regular shaver misses. I do find the sideburns trimmer not very useful or effective, although it does work if you can manipulate into position. Good product worth the money. Update: Jan 27 2023 Had this for a couple of years now and still works well, although it is really only good for front nose hairs and around the ears as well as... well... if you are one that likes a mustache but prefer it not hanging over your lip, then this is good for trimming that back too. Reaches those hard to reach places like that. Nose, ears and upper and lower lip trims.

Its cheaply made, and very light, and the shave its not the best, but for a couple of days use its fine.
