This is my first time using a product from Attar Ayurveda, but not my first time using indigo. Every month or so I like to use a mixture of henna and cassia obovata powders to color and condition my hair, then rinse it out and immediately follow with an indigo mask. The cassia and henna gives my hair a deep copper red hue, and the indigo layers over that to turn my hair to a lovely chestnut brown. The henna needs to be mixed with an acidic liquid (roughly 5-to-6 on the pH scale) and then spend several hours sitting, covered, in a warm-but-not-hot room in order to achieve dye release. However, indigo quickly breaks down and becomes very weak when mixed with acid, and it only needs a short time (usually less than 60 minutes at room temperature) to be ready to use. That's why, if I want my hair to be more brown than red, I have to mix indigo with just plain filtered water, then layer over my freshly hennaed hair. I've had mixed success with indigo, depending on the brand and the age of the powder. Some leave an almost green tinge on my hair, others don't make my hair darker even when I leave the indigo paste in for several hours. But so far, I'm very happy with this indigo powder from Attar Ayurveda. It's a very fine powder that mixes into a smooth, lump-free paste, it smells like indigo powder should, and it is ready to use within an hour. It'll take some more trial and error before I'm certain just how long to keep the paste on my hair, but so far an hour is not quite enough to get my hair as dark as I want so I'll try 1.5-2 hours next time. It definitely hasn't left any unwanted greenish tones, which was my main concern, and it rinses out well. Indigo does tend to be less permanent than henna, but this one seems to have a good colorfastness. It's working well and I'm glad I gave this brand a try!

Very good product

Das Paket kam gestern an. Vorher kam es zu Lieferverzögerungen und nun erhalte ich ein komplett beschädigtes Produkt. Es sieht sogar so aus, als wäre es vorher geöffnet und mit Klebeband wieder verschlossen worden. Ich bin angewidert und enttäuscht nach so langer Wartezeit so etwas zu erhalten.
