Worked Great, cheaper than kit version, Tight after 6 hours on the road.
Used this combination: 1588 propane tank hold-down bar with the 1908 wing nut and the 1805 center rod to create a side-by-side dual tank assembly for a fraction of a kit. If you already have an oval 2-tank pan, this setup could work for you too! I just checked and both tanks are nice and tight after 6 total hours of there/back travel time. You need to add a nut and washer and lock washers, from your local hardware store, to the bottom of the rod to make this work. Happy Camping !

My bad.
The nut was as stated but to small for the threaded shaft for my 2 twenty lb.. tanks. Picked up proper size nut, flat washer and lock washer and all is well. Guess I have extra wing nut 3/8. My bad.

Mr. Bizy says...
Perfect wing nut to secure both my 20 Lb propane tanks on my camper. The 3/8-16 thread matched up perfectly to my centering rod. Well made and keeps everything secure.
