The Rugged Storage Solution That Keeps Everything Secure and Ready
I’m very impressed with this storage tube. It has a strong, practical design that feels perfect for keeping important items protected, organized, and easy to access. The material looks durable, and the end cap design gives it a secure, reliable look for outdoor or travel use. What I like most is how useful it is for saving space and keeping things neatly stored instead of loose or exposed. The mounting brackets look sturdy, and the overall design feels simple but very effective. It is a great option for trailers, RVs, work setups, or anywhere you need extra protected storage. This is one of those products that may look basic, but it can make a big difference in organization and convenience. It feels well made, practical, and built for real use. I’m very happy with it and would definitely recommend it.

Schedule 40 pvc, silicone and drilling to anchor the caps firmly.
This item came exactly as advertised. I read a lot of negative reviews and I was a little worried but I had none of the same issues when I went to install. The caps are fit for SCHEDULE 40 PVC. They came individually wrapped in bubble wrap so no scratches. I was fully aware I would need to use silicone to seal this and I knew I had to drill holes in both caps to secure it firmly to my SCHEDULE 40 PVC. All of this is in the directions. I was also aware I would probably need to drill holes to accommodate the 3/8th ubolts. All I added extra was some fender washers to the ubolts, under my ladder rack, for added strength and support. All in all I am very pleased with this purchase.

Worked for rooftop Fly rod carrier project
I designed a fly rod rooftop carrier because the commercially available ones are above my budget. I bought 2 sets of these caps and powder coated them red and installed on my tubes. Some have complained about the gasket inside not sealing. Mine were good enough. I am making my own gaskets and doubling up the gasket thickness to seal a little more tightly. I like that these lock. They are very easy to actuate and open/close with one hand. I oriented them such that the hatch swings open horizontally like a house door. Works great. FYI: the u-bolt thread size is M10x1.50. Also: they come as raw aluminum. The Amazon photos appear to show grey powder coating but they are not. I bought my own stop nuts to prevent the included nuts from rattling loose on rough mountain jeep trails in Colorado. The included nuts already we’re working loose after 1 week of highway driving to work, testing things out before we hit the trails tomorrow. I am very happy with these. I have made rod tubes using sewer clean out caps, but these aluminum caps add a professional polish and allow you lock them securely. I don’t make stuff for posing at the mall… I use all my stuff on the trials.

Professional-Grade Quality with Excellent Customer Service
This is a seriously well-built, professional piece of equipment. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design, and the quality is outstanding. I paired mine with Schedule 80 PVC, and together they make an incredibly durable conduit carrier. Just be aware that Schedule 80 pipe is much heavier than Schedule 40, so once everything is assembled, this is a heavy-duty setup that’s built to last. One suggestion if you’re using heavier Schedule 80 pipe like I did, you may want to consider using a quality bonding agent (PVC adhesive) and/or adding stainless steel bolts for extra security. It’s probably overkill for many applications, but it adds some extra peace of mind with a setup this substantial. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that my kit arrived missing the two mounting saddles. Unfortunately, that caused me to miss a deployment when I really needed it installed. The good news is that customer service was excellent they responded quickly and had the missing parts shipped out within a few days. If you’re on the fence about buying this kit, I’d say go for it. The product is extremely well made, customer service stands behind it, and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Great cast parts and u-bolts
The cast parts are pretty impressive. I don't know of another kit that has such a great, real "saddle" for the bottom of the pipe. The cap and door end are well-cast, and fit schedule 40 PVC quite well. I wish the door locked more securely, but I modified it a bit to to make me rest easier when driving with a load of steel bar up there. For the record, this whole kit cost as much as just two PVC caps cost from my local irrigation outlet. This same kit from other online sources can be almost 2x as much as it is being sold here! I can make my own caps. I can make my own U-bolts, but I really liked those cast saddles, and the cost is so reasonable... so I bought the kit. I have some info and corrections (to statements I've seen in the comments) to share. First, this fits well on Schedule 40 PVC. If you want a lighter system, the kit will work on the drain/waste PVC that is about schedule 20. But you must use a bell end on both ends to get the diameter correct. OR you can cut some bands of a few inches each, cut those bands so they expand like a spring clip, slip them onto each end and glue them to make the correct diameter for the cast ends to fit. To strengthen the areas where the U-bolts go, and to make the pipe fit better in the saddles, you can (and I did!) add similar bands (cuffs?) to those areas where the U-bolts hold it. A band saw is really handy at this point! The U-bolts that came with mine are NOT 3/8-16 like everybody says (including the distributor!). They are certainly close, but are actually M10-1.5. This is so close that the M10 nuts from this kit will thread onto slightly narrower 3/8-16 bolts, but a 3/8-16 nut will not work on the U-bolts that came in my kit. I had to create a custom mount for mine, and purchased the 3/8 nuts I thought I needed, but NOPE. Will not fit the U-bolts. The thread pitch is just barely close enough, but the diameter of the M10 bolt is 0.6mm larger than a 3/8 bolt. So don't make the mistake I did! Realize that these are metric and don't waste money on nice stainless 3/8 hardware.

Fits snug but use common sense
Common sense to either bolt or tap screw with a sealant, and to place hinge pin horizontally/parallel to ground, and to use something like a lock through lid latch hole. Otherwise don’t be surprised it slips off as it would be expected to do. Used on schedule 40 foam core low psi 8” sewer pipe contractor/industrial grade and fit snug from package. All hardware supplied for complete install, packaged well. Will pit corrode with salt air but expected result so apply finish/coating before exposure to elements. Hardware brackets, etc plenty long to straddle Thule large oval ladder rack brackets

Lid Pin Fell Out after 1st month of use.
I really thought this was going to be a home run. I run a plumbing company and was looking for a solution to store extra pipe on my pipe rack. I've seen some 4" pipe and 6" pipe on some other guy's vans or trailers, but I thought the 8" would allow me to add much more pipe. The caps looked sturdy and it was straight forward to install. Saw a videoo online where a guy painted his and I thought that woudl make it look much better, which it did. A few days ago, I noticed the lid was just hanging loose. The pin that holds the lid had apparently fallen out. I actaully have only opened the lid twice in the month or so that I have had it. Thank God I had a lock on the provided holes or I may have lost the damn lid. Come on! I paid $88.55 for two ends and some pipe supports and the lid falls off? Very surprised. What the hell am I suppsed to do now? I quess, I'll put some lag bolt in it, but that will make it look like southern engineering. I'm very unsatisfied. Fail.

Fast delivery
Product is good and delivered fast. It's not 4" as mentioned. It is mentioned on the box 4" and a half. But it is 4.8" for real. Also when you lock the cover, it doesn't seal properly. Water and dust come inside. It needs some adjustment and thicker rubber.
