Battery Pencil Sharpener

This is a great sharpener. I bought it for my classroom. It is so much quieter than our old pencil sharpener, and it sharpens pencils better. I can continue to teach without having to pause everything a kid gets up to sharpen their pencil. It is battery operated, which is an added plus since our classroom only has 1 wall plug. Since it is battery operated, its position is not limited to the 1 space near the plug.

I found the Bostitch Office Battery Pencil Sharpener to be a fantastic addition to my workspace. It works great and has a slim design that makes it a real space saver on my desk. The battery life is impressive, lasting a long time between changes, and it sharpens well, giving pencils a perfect point every time. The Tip Saver technology is a nice touch to prevent over-sharpening. If you need a reliable, portable sharpener that doesn't take up much room, this is a perfect choice!

This was highly rated, and overall it works as intended. However, it is lacking somewhat on torque. As you put pencils in, you can feel the motor starting to bog down slightly as the sharpener goes around and around. I suspect it won’t be long until the motor wears out, but until that happens my rating will stay. It sharpens down to a point, doesn’t fake too long, easy to empty the rubbish.

This seems to be a very nice pencil sharpener. It sharpens quickly and makes a nice point. It is a bit noisy but not overly annoying. Nice quality and a good value for the price.

Unfortunately this pencil sharpener is awful usually I say you get what you pay for but it struggles to half sharpen a single color pencil. Jams consistently and is not worth the money at all. Cute though.

Really does sharpen pencils to a good point. I've used this for loads of pencils now, including a big box of coloured pencils for the kids and it's still holding up. Battery life is great and it seems well built. Does sharpen quite quickly though so if you're using expensive artist pencils be careful not to waste pencil.

This is a 'proper' item with rotating cutters, and does a quick and efficient job with the smaller standard diameter pencils including colour pencils. But you won't get a junior triangular Faber-Castell through the aperture! Powered by four AA batteries, which you supply. I like the side entry design and the easily removable large shavings bin, and the overall light weight. Price is attractive, too.
