I have eczema, so moisturiser in this house is not a luxury purchase. It is closer to infrastructure.Doublebase comes in a chunky 250g pump pack, which immediately earns points because pumps are vastly superior to sticking your fingers into a tub like you’re excavating yoghurt. It keeps things cleaner, gives a sensible amount each press, and is easy to use when you’re half asleep and your skin has decided 2am is the perfect time to become aggressively inconvenient.The cream itself is thick enough to feel substantial but spreads easily. On my skin, it leaves dry areas feeling noticeably softer and more comfortable without making me feel like I’ve been laminated.There’s no ridiculous fragrance assault either, which I appreciate enormously. When your skin is already having a full constitutional crisis, you do not need moisturiser scented like “Midnight Orchid Volcano Breeze”.The packaging is functional rather than beautiful, but honestly, good. This is not a perfume bottle. I don’t need it to seduce me. I need it to sit by the sink, pump reliably, and do its job without drama.Obviously, eczema varies wildly from person to person, so I can only speak for my own experience rather than declare this some sort of dermatological Excalibur.Good pump. Good texture. No nonsense. Useful size.Basically, white goo with excellent work ethic.

Wow what can I say about the product. I have problems with my kidneys especially infections and one of the side effects can be a very itchy face and your face doesnt doesnt have a visual rash just intense heat you feel like you've caught the sun badly and you face is on fire its awful infact. No pain just intense itch and very red blotchy very red face and can go onto neck ears and back of neck especially the hair line. So last week I was desperate I was using the steroid cream that the doctor had prescribed but was only supposed to use that sparingly and twice a day. Omg I needed something else, dont get me wrong I bought other none perfumed creams but I needed a Emollient cream. As soon as put this Doublebase on my face its helped so much . It calmed it down while I was waiting for the antibiotics to kick in for my kidney infection not everyone gets these side effects ive got very sensitive skin. Im allergic to sun. And I have to cover up when im out. So my skin is to the extreme and worked for me, this is life saving cream or I Id be looking for the nearest bridge to jump off. I hadn't slept in three night . And I walked around the house with ice packs on my face just to calm the heat down. But through paracetamol and antihistamine and this cream I managed to cope. The cream was so soothing . I would definitely recommend this amazing cream to anyone who as extremely dry and sore skin,inflammation of the skin. Its got a greasy feeling so tie your hair up if you can . But the greasy feeling goes it doesn't stay. You need a greasy substance to help with your skin. I was using epidem probly the wrong spelling thats a very good cream too but I needed some with a greasy texture to it so it absorbed into my poorly skin. Cream formula makes it tight and taught . My skin today is calm until tonight and then I will reapply my Doublebase for dry skin Eollient. Good luck hope this long winded recommendations has helped you xx

Nice and thick pleasant to use feels nice in dry skin , eczema or whatever you have . Does stop skin feeling itchy

For a long time, especially in the winter’s I’ve struggled with eczema and my skin occasionally being dry/flaky. I recently had a flare up on my arms and bought this in impulse. After a week or so of using it - I can say this is definitely worth the purchase! However, it does have a greasy after texture which can be unpleasant especially if you want to do work after applying (hence why i have 4 stars). I can get past this though - just because it works super well! (I recommend pairing with a body oil like aveeno!). There is a faint smell but it goes away after applying.For me, once rubbing it into the skin it’s quite smooth and creamy but not overly thick or thin. The longevity is great and makes my body feel smooth for a good 5-6 hours!

I bought this after having a flare up of psoriasis.I had tried everything and nothing had worked. From the moment I applied this,the skin was happy. It was no longer ‘angry’ looking. By the following day,the cream had dried up the psoriasis. I now use it as a moisturiser. My skin has never looked better. Would highly recommend.

Lovely cream, I have bought this for a number of years for members of my family who suffer from eczema and it helps a lot. I use it myself now for age related dry flaky skin, it works well feels great

Helps with itchy psoriasis. Not a complete clear up but helps with the itch. Does help significantly.

Really good moisturiser that has undoubtedly improved the dry skin on my legs, good price too.Unfortunately I won't be buying again as the pump dispenser wastes so much of the cream - great shame.
