Assembly defect
Returned because star connectors were installed upside down so this model is not compatible with other ultimate models (unless you want the pieces upside down). We have older mini models which are compatible with each other (circular connectors) and they also roll better. Other than that nice quality wood toy.

Well made, but not cross compatible!
Bought two of these cars (54107) and two other "ultimate series" (54111) through my work for an activity. The idea that they are advertised as cross compatible was the sole reason we went with these. Turns out, they are NOT compatible. Other than the wheels, nothing else will move between the two models. They both have star shaped connectors, but on one model the star is offset so they will only connect with one side upside down. Cars don't work well with one set of tires in the air...Disappointed and frustrated. If you aren't interested in switching parts between models, these work fine as a wooden toy car.
