The new Samsung Z-Flip phone is unique in that by nature of the design, some areas will be left vulnerable and exposed (fold of the spine). Finding a case that tries to provide sufficient protection while maintaining a sleek appearance leaves few choices. This case does it's best to cover both these features. My particular Z Flip is the Mystic Copper/ (Rose gold) edition, and the purple cover compliments the color. The case is a snug fit, with perfectly matched openings , no wiggle room and most importantly is constructed of a smooth "polycarbonate " material that doesn't feel gummy or rubbery. Without the case, the phone itself felt like a bar of soap to me... very slippery. With this case, it gives great traction sans the "rubber tire" feeling. I'm not sure if the clear transparent versions of this case feel differently from the color versions. Easy to place on the Z-Flip, snaps into place and ready to use. There are black inserts attached to the interior to (i think) help limit movement of the phone. Near the fold are 2 small cut-out openings to allow for a phone strap or lanyard. Does not come with either. Hopefully it will last as long as the phone. Glad I bought this one. Got it right the first time !!!

Update: 1 year later... This case has outlasted my other case, which ended up chipping. So far, no wear and tear, and I love it for the fact it's easy to clean and I can stick stickers between it and my phone for decoration.I bought this case for my Samsung Z Flip and I love it. The sheer case is beautiful and thin. Although it doesn't look like it would survive a fall, the material is a sturdy plastic that is easy to keep clean. I ended up buying this to protect my phone before another case arrived. And I would use it for the interim of needing another case. 4 stars for questionable durability--but regardless, the phone itself fits perfectly in my pocket and has yet to fall out (unlike previous phones). The case fits like a glove and has tiny black strips to act as a shock absorber I guess should the phone fall. Happy with the price.

To start off, the samsung leather case for the Z Flip is hands down the best case made for the Z Flip. It feels premium, not-slippery, offers good protection, and cosmetically looks great. However, I have a dbrand vinyl skin on my Z Flip. Due to the sticky application of the samsung leather case, upon removing the case the skin always comes off.The Ringke matte clear case has solved all my problems. I can see the vinyl skin I installed, the build quality is excellent, the matte plastic finish is not slippery and feels great in the hand, and offers good protection (assuming you treat the phone like the $1450 device it is!)Most importantly to me is that I fell in love with the matte finish on the Z Flip 5G, one of the reasons why I chose it over the LTE glossy model. The matte finish of the ringke case mimics that frosted finish very well which I absolutely adore. Overall, this is the 2nd best case by far for the Z Flip. Buttons are easily accessible, protection on all sides, and it looks absolutely fantastic.Highly recommend for any Z Flip users!

I had recently received the Galaxy Z Flip and used this case for it, but had recently had my case and my phone destroyed by a fall due to the case slipping off the top cover due to lack of grip. I noticed when cleaning the case after getting the phone ready for repairs that the gel grips that are inside the case alone were covered in small specks and filaments that caused the stick to the phone itself to wear off. I had not even had this case that long, but it did protect what it could while it did. Good price, but be sure to take good care of the case and cleaning as well.

This case seems to fit firmly on my Z Flip 5G, it has a nice feel to it and opens and closes well.My one gripe is, it's a fingerprint magnet! One thing I loved about the Z Flip 5G over the original Z Flip is, the original Z Flip, while looking premium, would look like a smudged up mess within a few minutes of use! The new Z Flip was finished in soft touch, and didn't seem to attract fingerprints at all.Overall, I love the soft touch, love the fit and finish... just wish they could have figured out what Samsung apparently has figured out... how to give a soft touch finish, but lose the fingerprints!

I'm new to this phone so I just wanted a case to protect it until I could get something thicker but I have to say I'm pretty surprised. The case is a bit thicker then I expect but not too thick that It's uncomfortable. The case is smooth to the touch but not slippery, which I like so you can't easily drop it. But it can easily fall out of a pocket or a bad. If your looking for a temporary case I'd strongly recommend it. Or even just a starter case for a while.

This case is good, I got the matte version to hide fingerprints better. I have tried a few cases for the z flip already. I wanted this case to beat them all but there a just a few things that make my hairs stand.1) The case does not cover the hinge. - While the case isn't neccesarily supposed to do this, a bit of design would've hurt.2) The cutout for the camera and outer screen is not aligned with the phone. - The cutout for the camera and outer screen are a bit off of center which leads me to believe that quality control was not done very well.3) This is a big one. The bottom cutout for the charging port is so bulky, that hardly any of my chargers work with the case on! - None of my charger work because they don't fit inside the case cutout. It is quite infuriating at times, it feels like only apple usbc connectors work which is very stupid.Good luck with this case!
