I was pleased with this 4ft platform valance. I was worried that being white, if the material is not thick enough, the base would show through, but it doesn't and looks very nice. I think the fabric is a reasonable thickness and don't understand the bad reviews, unless for some reason different thinner fabric was used. The 4ft version does not have a pleat in the middle at the end of the bed, which I wasn't sure if it would or not. Not sure if it would have looked better, but I'm pleased with it anyway. Of course it was a total pain in the backside ironing it and having to fiddle around to get the inverted pleats looking right GRRRR!!! but once on the bed it looks good.

Looks good, a good fit. Material is very thin but does the job and good for the price so no complaints really.

Unfortunately the valance arrived in a very small package which meant a lengthy ironing session was needed to make it look anything like the photograph advertised. The pleats really should have been hand tacked (a few stitches) so that the pleats remained true and not guesswork by ironing.The colour was a darker grey than the light grey shown in photograph.It was disappointing but I'm giving 3 stars as I guess you get what you pay for.

A valance completes the overall sense of caring about your environment, and this product does just that; and the box pleat is much neater than a similar, gathered, valance. It also hides the fact that there are storage drawers in the bed base.
