Q: What is the knot made of?

From metal (do not know what kind of metal, but was very well polished), which looks very fine, exquisite and elegant. We gave them as a wedding gift, and the groom and bride were extremely happy.

Q: Are these engraveable?

Yes - I had them engraved at Things to Remember.

Q: Does it come with the original vera wang wedgwood box? will it be nicely & securely packaged? i want to give it as a wedding gift.

I'm not sure. I had it sent to the bride directly from Amazon. She did love the flutes and used them in her wedding. As they are glass, I'm sure they are securely packaged.
