CCSP ISC2 Certified Cloud Security Professional Official CCSP Cbk and Study Guide + Official Practice Tests

I passed the CCSP exam on July 9, 2022 on my first attempt. This book covers all the domains that are tested in the exam but the book explains each domain quickly and key words quickly. For example, the book has a section for SDLC and explains each step, but you need to actually understand (through experience or by reading other materials) for what activities and deliverables are in each SDLC step in order to understand the actual exam question. But this book does give you the right references that you should explore like ISO 27000 series of standards, NIST publications, FedRAMP program, and most importantly the Cloud Security Alliance STAR Program and their research on cloud security. The book does not explain all of them in detail so you may need to read or do external research on them.This item was the only one I bought to prepare for the exam, the rest are stuff I found online for free like the CSA and NIST publications. Overall this item is 4/5 because I expected more granularity from an official study guide.

This book is just that you need to take the Exam CCSP from (isc)2

I used these two books along with an online learning portal, initially famous for its Linux courses, as the primary study materials. I ordered the book on 8/31 and provisionally passed the exam on 10/3.The study book is a quick read and does not contain superfluous content. I went through it quickly, and then a few days prior to the real exam, skimmed through again. The chapter reviews are easier than the companion practice tests, so you should get the set. I tended to score 95%+ on chapter reviews but 80% on the practice tests. For the questions I failed, I went through each and learned why I failed.For full disclosure, I also have two AWS, six Azure and CISSP/CSSLP certifications, along with working in the cloud. This other experience needs to be counted towards my passing and I don't mean to imply in any way that getting this set of books is all one needs should someone not have additional training/experience. This is not a full cloud security training program and is not represented by the author as such.For me, the 21 hour online course and these two books were what I used to pass the exam, along with my experience.

Although I passed the exam, I did not feel the study guide & practice tests prepared me well enough for the exam. I walked in fairly confidence scoring around 83% on the mock exams. However, on the actual exam, I felt completely helpless. It is a miracle that I passed. I am still giving it a 3-star since the content itself is well put together and easy to understand.

I am in a chat group where 15 of us have passed CCSP with only 4 failures from Feb 9 to Mar 20 and the one thing we all agree on is no one book or set of sample questions will make you pass this cert. You have to take a diversified approach. That said, this book seems to be one of the few common denominators among the passers.

The book's material is basic, the test exams are key. The book has its own set and you add much more questions with the exams provided by the Practice tests volume. I'd say this is the only book needed for CCSP

Book is great for test prep but has issues with manufacturing. You can see from the picts that several sections of the pages didnt make it though the cutter. I had to separate them by hand and it was impossible to do without tearing at least a couple pages. Additionally there are ink splits and trials throughout as pictured.

Just as the author stressed, the book alone is not enough for the exam. Questions in the Study Guide and the corresponding online question bank seemed way too easy compared to what was on the exam. Questions in the Practice Test Bundle are more complex and seem closer to what exam had but still not enough - you need to know many of the CBK subjects in greater depth than what is covered in this book bundle.Another thing I noticed is that some of the terms in the Test Bundle questions were not mentioned in the Study Guide, and that is true for the exam questions too.

I found the book itself quite dry, and the exam questions book better. At least one of the questions gives the wrong correct answer letter. No one book will teach you everything for the exam, and I think you would be hard pushed to pass reading only this as your source.(I passed the exam first time, and purchased this book as one of my sources).

Read this book several times, and then went through it and made notes of the key points. Revised my notes and completed the questions at the end of each chapter.Took the time to review the additional resources recommended by this book (CCM, OWASP etc.) and then completed all the questions in the accompanying practice questions book.The CCSP exam didn't have any questions on topics not covered by either the book or the additional resources recommended by the book. Passed the exam first time.These two books did exactly what they say they do.

This book is based on second edition. CCSP now have third edition which has multiple changes. Make sure you go for third edition.
