Simply Fantastic!
Ok, here is the run down. Toy swords are a pain. They just are. Kids wants to swing them at each other, boys especially are prone to playing to hard, and as much fun as they can be. They can also be dangerous. Which is why plastic isn't really ideal. So what about foam?Years back, Nerf made some swords and they were pretty much great. Soft and light enough to be safe, hardy enough to last a while. Wish they still made them. Walmart frequently sells cheap foam swords at about $5 or so. For the price, they are great. Very light, very safe, but not so sturdy. Especially the tips, but an extended amount of the blade is left unsupported to make the tip safe. Has to be that way. Often leads to the tips coming off, and the sword going in the trash as a result of the low quality foam used.So how does this compare? Especially considering the price difference. The build quality is there. It's very sturdy. The center is a square plastic rod. It has some give, but is substantial enough to not just break under slight pressure. The foam work is very nice. And the sword just looks cool as a result. And of course. The foam used is just sturdier stuff. More like what nerf used. The tip is left unsupported for at least a good 4 inches. Which will help reduce the chances of an injury from thrusting movements, and because of hardier foam. I don't expect the tip to break off as fast. Additionally, the blades are replaceable! No need to buy a whole new $60 sword! While severe injury doesn't seem likely to occur with this toy, getting whacked with it firmly could still smart pretty good, and might cause some tears depending on age.All in all, it's very well done with about as much quality of construction as you could ask of a foam and plastic toy sword. Yes it is a little bit less safe than lighter cheaper options, but it will also outlast those other options by a mile. Especially with hard play. However keep in mind it is still a foam sword and will eventually break if you hit stuff hard enough, enough times. However, you probably shouldn't swing this that hard at other people to begin with. So if you are planning to hand a pile of these to a group of rowdy boys. I would advise also providing padding. All in all. I am satisfied with the quality, safety, and aesthetic of this toy sword, and will likely buy more for son to play with, as he is quite smitten with it.Now for the price..... Is it warranted? This is by far the most expensive model this toy maker offers, and again. The foam work is really good. There is also the added benefit of being able to swap handles, guards, and blades among the various models. Which also a very cool feature. So $60? Yes it's worth it, but just barely. Mostly because my kid loves both swords and dragons. However the other models seem to be about $35 - $40, which is far easier to justify IMHO.Conclusion. This is a great toy, and hope to see even more offerings from formidable toys, especially this prime swords line. It's just a great concept that has been well executed and balances longevity of the toy, with safety quite well.

BEST TOY SWORD
Bought this for our 4 year old son who is very active and loves playing aggressive 😂In the past, foam swords have lasted him only a day or two, maximum a week. This one is so well made and sturdy. Beautiful detail and we are going on four months of constant rough play with it and it still looks new!! Definitely pricey but worth every penny for an awesome well made toy. I love that it requires no batteries and encourages imaginative play! Buy this thing!

Best swords ever
We own three of these swords and they’re the best quality swords we’ve ever purchased for our kids. We’ve gone through dozens of swords before finding this one and they have all broken within just a few days of receiving them but we’ve had these swords now for over 3 months and they still look and feel brand new, even with everyday use by our kids. Just bought our fourth from this seller and couldn’t be happier with it!

Durable, safe, gorgeous; the best foam sword I've ever bought! 6/5 stars!
No jokes, alright? This is arguably the best sword I've ever bought. I noticed something strange about my order, and they were really quick to clear my confusion. It's actually impressive how nice they were about it, given how dumb the question was, haha. The patience, and kindness they showed was amazing! And that's just the very tip of this thing, let's get into the blade itself; made of a rubberized foam- or at least, it feels like a rubberized foam- it is extremely durable, and I even put it through a few stress tests, and it passed the test still looking like it'd just come out of the box; not even my sparkfoam sword could do that, and the whole thing behind sparkfoam(not to put them down) is that it's durable. That's really freaking impressive! Not to mention, it looks AMAZING! The paint, or however they did it, is FLAWLESS, and so, SO pretty.Long story short; if you're looking for a foam sword for your kids, hell, even for a larper you know, Formidable Toys is the PEAK. The only "issue" I have is that they only have a few designs, but they do have multiple colors for each, and you can mix and match pieces if you want!Actually, lemme talk about that:There are three sword designs; Eon, Riven, and Dragon. There are four colors; Mek, Arc, Iss, and Classic. Eon and Riven have all four, while Dragon only has Mek and Iss, currently. The swords are split into three pieces; Grip, Guard, and Blade.Four colors times 2 grips(Eon and Riven), plus the 2 dragon grips, and do the same for guards and blades. That is 10 grips, times 10 guards, times 10 blades. 1,000 different combinations. That's, like, A LOT. Oh my stars.Okay, final words; if I could give this 6 out of 5 stars, I would, because, on the stars themselves, this is my favorite sword brand, and you can bet your behind I'm going to be buying more of these swords because they are AWESOME.

Well worth the money to upgrade from our little $10 sword. He fights with it all day and holds up to pillows and couches. Need more for the rest of us

Great but the tip broke after a while
The craftsmanship of these swords are spectacular! I was able to get this for my son this past summer in 2022. He loved it. He played with it a bunch and had sword fights with his sisters. About 3 months in while he was playing with it he broke the top off. It may be the swords are not terribly durable. He wasn’t smashing the sword into the ground or doing anything obnoxious to try and break it. He was just playing and having sword fights. I plan on using some liquid nails to piece it back together. But for $70, I was hoping to have a little bit more durability.
