This plastic is different. It is embedded with netting to give it strength. The standard farm plastic I used to buy tore a month after I purchased it after a deer jumped a close-by fence hitting the side causing a 10-foot tear. This plastic is tougher and harder to cut even with a scissors. Another benefit that I liked is that it doesn't reflect the sunlight into my house like the old one did. And, it is made in the USA.

Used to tarp up my chicken coop, works great, strong and lets the light in.

Nice and heavy duty

They're quality control is awful. Returning these are also very bad as they do not refund you for all of the rolls. Just one. It's been an ongoing issues with them. If you need name brand dura skrim you should use uline. They charge shipping but, the product you get is guaranteed to be correct. Farm supply will randomly send unbranded duraskrim that rips easily at the seams. Making it literally useless. 0/10 been buying for over a year. This has been 3 times now. And it's always when I least expect it and like I said the return process for them is garbage. They require you to put both rolls inside of one box. (Because it's a single package return for a muli order,idfk) Cannot be shippedback individually. So, you tape them together as one package, then ups said they won't refund both of them. And they were right. Between 2 returns, and 4 rolls they are refunding just 200 each.

We built an above ground vegetable garden in North Houston. It's fairly windy and the thin plastic sheeting we used before would tear and leave big holes in winter. The Dura Skrim had some holes poked in it from our support poles but held together. All of our plants survived the short winter this last 2025/26.

This plastic looked like it was going to be a great option for our high tunnel on a farm in New England, but it only lasted us a season because we got a freak storm in December 2023 that included 36 hours of sustained winds of 50+ MPH and gusts up to 80 MPH. If you don’t live in a wind tunnel, this is probably the plastic for you! We’ll plan on uncovering the high tunnel each fall going forward, since these late fall/early winter bomb cyclones seem to be a regular occurrence in our part of the country now.

I used this as a greenhouse plastic on a metal car portal frame. The strong wind blew my heavy makeshift greenhouse across the road without the plastic being damaged. I was so amazed and a still using the plastic for a 2nd year thus year. I'll update thus with pics this spring.
