Fits 2000 Jeep cherokee XJ
Pretty easy to install and works perfectly. Dont forget that you will need a new rear driveshaft after doing this upgrade. Pro tip on the Jeep XJ after installing the new SYE, if you are at stock height or close to it as a temporary fix you can use the front driveshaft in the rear until you get a new one.

Great value kit
The kit was well put together and every part fit as expected. It seems to be a quality kit and the fit and finish is nice. I had no problem installing the kit, the only down side is when it comes to the shifting fork. Depending on the year for you jeep, you will have to cut the longer portion of the shift fork rod so that the case will fit back onto the transfer case. The included instructions did not mention this fact, but if you look on Rough Country's website, it is detailed out. Once cut the case sealed back up and has been functioning fine. Do yourself a favor, and order a rebuild kit while you're in there. It is ease to do and since all the parts are indoor face, rebuild it.

Easy Install and Must for Lifted Jeeps
This is a must for any height lift . Don't bother with crossmember shims that do not correct the vibration after a Lift. I have an RC 2.5" Lift and the ride before this install was rough. I've tried correcting all the drivetrain angles but nothing helped. I managed to do this install without removing the NP231 Transfer case from the vehicle. I don't see any reason why you should. With all the youtube vids that I've watched . All had them remove it from the vehicle. Not necessary imo. Took me about 2 hours to remove and install. The ride now is back to stock non lifted jeep. I could not believe how smooth the ride is now. So don't waste your time on shims. Get this kit along with a new double cardan driveshaft and Enjoy the smooth ride again.

Much better than the pictures make it out to be!
I installed mine this weekend, it went together perfectly. When trying to order a new driveline, I went back to the amazon listing to see if it showed the yoke size. I noticed that in the picture the shaft is in the housing backwards. haha, whoops! Pay no attention to the pictures, the kit is great, and comes with everything you need. The biggest difficulty I had was removing the old spring clips. Those things are the devil even with spring clip pliers!

Great quality parts
Great quality parts in this kit and easy enough to install if you've watched a couple of YT videos. Its very important to note that because you're going from a slip yoke to a fixed yoke on the rear output you will need to order 4 yoke bolts to connect the new output yoke to your new driveshaft as they're not included in this kit, or with most new drive-shafts. Don't get caught short. They are the same size bolts that hold thr front driveshaft onto the front output yoke and cost about $15 for 4 on Amazon.

Fit perfect on my 1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ 4.0
Get a NP231 Transfer Case Rebuild Kit while you're at it ;) Everything fit perfectly. Worth it if you have a 4" lift or more. Just remember you'll also need a new rear driveshaft and hey, while you're at it, just fork over the money for a new front driveshaft. I suggest Tom Woods. Rebuild the transfer case, install this SYE kit, then measure for your new driveshaft. Lots of YouTube videos out there. I followed JeepSolid because he has a 3-part video on rebuilding an NP231. And then a video on installing this SYE.

Buy it for your XJ. It needs it!
I got this and went to Sharjah and made a custom driveshaft for my cherokee. Saved me lots of time and money on shipping a new driveshaft. Result: Removed 90% of driveline vibrations from the car. โ The 10% are because its a jeep. No vibes, no drives.

Good
Installed this on my 2000 XJ with the NP231. Install was smooth, no issues. Didnโt come with instructions but loads of YT vids to watch. Slightly larger tolerances on the machining of the output shaft than the OEM I pulled but only a couple thou. Installed it last week and havenโt driven it much. Will update after a couple wheeling trips

4.5" lift and no more vibrations
I have a 4.5" lift on my 2000 Jeep cherokee and was excperiencing a lot of vibrations. I bought this kit and spent a Saturday installing it. I watched a couple youtube tutorials and am already mechanically inclined so i didn't have any issues with the installation and all my vibrations went away. I am very happy with the results.
