No Ordinary Woman: The Story of Mary Schäffer Warren

I went on a tour of the Canadian Rockies last July. I knew NOTHING about them but enjoyed the tour. I am SO enjoying this book now! It may lead me to do that same exact tour again now that I have memories plus background information!

told of this book while on Rocky Mountaineer Tour, would have been nice to have read it before hand, but still a good history background for Canadian Rocky pioneers. Very nice book, like new, even though I bought a "used" copy

I haven't read this yet... but I'm looking forward to it. She seems like an absolutely amazing woman!

This is a well written, interesting account of the life and adventures of self proclaimed mountain woman, Mary Schiffer, a century ago in her beloved Canadian Rocky Mountains. This book brings to life the distant past and details the trials and successes of the life of a woman in that rugged grandeur.

The item arrived in great condition and ahead of schedule. Will use this seller again.

I've bought this to replace my book lost in a flood. I liked the book so much that I have bought a replacement copy. This is a fabulous read, considering it's the story of someone's life. She was an amazing explorer and is an inspiration. I would love to do her Maligne Lake trip at some point on horseback. Pioneer!

A little dry reading, but very good source of history.

Einen Stern Abzug für die lange Lieferzeit - 1,5 Monate. War aber von vorn herein so angekündigt. Verpackung war intakt und Buch entsprach der Beschreibung.

The story is great but the book is a bit dry.
