I was interested in trying this tea for its potential wellness benefits. The first thing to note is that this is an instant granular tea, which comes in very convenient single-serving packets. You just tear one open, pour it into a mug, add hot water, and stir. It dissolves immediately with no steeping required, which is great for a quick cup. The flavor is where I'm a bit divided. The Korean red ginseng is very prominent, with a strong, earthy, and slightly bitter taste that seems potent and authentic. It has a mild sweetness to it, which helps to balance the bitterness. My personal preference, however, would be for a much stronger ginger flavor. I found the ginger to be more of a subtle background note, and I was hoping for that spicy kick to cut through the earthiness of the ginseng more. The taste is certainly not bad, it's just very ginseng-forward. This Red Ginseng with Ginger Tea is not very tasty to me! I have to add honey to make it tolerable. It is also a very weak blend so you need to use less water than it says or it's just basically drinking water. It does not have any smell, but I did not love the taste of this drink. I did not see any effects on appetite or energy level. I will continue to use it because I don't like to waste products, but I will not reorder this tea. The price is pretty good for a box of 50 pouches of tea mixes. It might be better if it were actual tea bags that you can brew to get a stronger cup of tea. This one is not for me!

This tea is awesome! It is packaged very nicely in a durable box, and the individual packets are also a heavy foil that transport well. I was surprised to see this is a granular formulation - apparently I didn't read through the description well enough. However, I quite like the convenience of this, and the fact that it dissolves in both hot and cold water. I've prepared it at both temperatures, but since it's hot and humid in my location, I've been drinking it cold. It's so nice not having to steep this first, then add cold water/ice, etc, to achieve iced tea. The taste is very mild and delicate. I'm not sure I realized what ginseng tasted like on its own before having this tea, but I would describe it almost as a grassy flavor (I personally don't consider this "earthy" like beets or truffles, for example). The ginger is super subtle and not spicy or overpowering, but is definitely present. The negligible sugar it contains balances the ginger and ginseng flavors perfectly, in my opinion, and I haven't added sweetener, although I imagine this would taste fantastic with the addition of honey and/or lemon. Delicious!

I didn’t realize this was an instant tea where you put the granules directly into water but I rather liked the result. They dissolved instantly in the hot water leaving no residue or granules at the bottom. Really nice to not have to deal with removing a wet teabag. The taste of the tea was pretty expected for the ingredients. It can be enjoyed as is but some may want to add a sweetener like a mild honey to really bring out the flavors. This is because of the medicinal properties of the ingredients may be a bit too herbal for some without a sweetness. The quality of the packet for the granules is of very high quality and i don’t see any risk of accidentally tearing one as you may actually need scissors. Overall I’m very happy with this tea as an avid tea drinker.

I love my coffee, but I need caffeine free options for later in the day, and I am not really a fan of most caffeine-free coffee. I use the caffeine-free drinks to curb my hunger and as a treat instead of eating something heavy in sugar. So, I go to tea and diet soda for those options. This flavor is very authentic and almost has a savory taste to it. So, I find it pairs well with traditional Koren and Asian foods but also is good for curbing hunger because it has that slight savory taste but also a little bit of sweet zing. It's a great flavor, but it wouldn't be my everyday go to. Value wise, it's decent per pack for being imported. No additives or other crazy ingredients is a plus. This is granulated form, which has its pros and cons, but it is very convenient. It mixes well with hot water, however I did not try with cooler water. I will say I prefer tea bags over granulated, I think the experience of flavor is better but granulated is very quick to make and consume.
