Definitely need a second person to help put together once you get to the part where you lift the frame onto the side arm base. The instructional video was easy to follow and the futon is sturdy and beautiful. The mattress has springs which make it the most comfortable futon I have ever sat/laid on and the mattress doesn't slide off the frame. I got this as a couch for my living room but also for my elderly mother to sleep on when she stays over to babysit. She loves it and has no trouble sleeping or getting off of it. Highly recommend!

The futon is solid wood which is very nice, and the mattress is comfortable and appears easy to clean. Assembly took about 45 minutes between my husband and myself, but if following the directions was pretty easy. The only problem I have with this futon is it’s difficult for one person to put into the couch position from the bed position.

This did not start out well as we purchased this as a part of a Christmas gift for the grandkids. We were turning their room into a playroom and this was a key element. It arrived and we could tell immediately that it had already been opened. We went to put it together only to discover that the hardware to assemble it was missing. Called Amazon (who was EXTREMELY helpful) and was told that there was no way to get just the hardware. We had to return the product (I'd like to point out that this is a FUTON and was rather heavy and awkward and had already been taken out of the box) and they would send us another. Amazon did consent to send the other without waiting for the first one to come back, which they did, but it was not likely to arrive in time for Christmas which was going to ruin my plan for the grandkids. We packed it back up and hauled it out it the garage and we were completely stunned when the replacement arrived 3 days later. It took several phone calls to get the first one returned because Amazon was under the impression that I was going to take this to the UPS store and "drop it off" and needed to be convinced that they had to come get it. Fortunately, this one had everything it needed and father and son got it together pretty easily. It takes two people to raise and lower it but it's comfortable as both a couch and a bed. It creaks A LOT when you are sleeping on it so you tend to get woken up every time you move . Overall I am very happy with it and I don't regret the purchase.

I can testify that the mattress is very comfortable. My toddler has had stomach issues since he was 3 weeks old and I lost a lot of sleep trying to get him to sleep in his crib. Finally we moved and bought this futon and I started trying to get him to lay down with me so I could get some sleep (he was over a year old at this point and I was exhausted). My husband has to wake up at 4am so sleeping in a room together wouldn't work well with him getting ready as our son is a very light sleeper (another reason why I was so exhausted). Then our son started getting ear infections regularly which led to getting tubes and other infections/colds almost weekly.After sleeping on this futon for almost 2 years - I can say it has held up very well and is more comfortable to me than the $800 mattress in the bedroom. I will need to purchase another mattress due to my son pulling up the mattress protector at night and sleeping under it then peeing through his diaper. I just can't get the pee smell out unfortunately.The only bad thing about this was the assembly. There are youtube instructions, but at times even they were difficult to follow. We got it together obviously, however; it took 3 hours and taking some stuff apart and putting it back together again.I'd buy another, next time the one with drawers :)

We bought this for extra seating in our living room, but first we put it in a small spare room as a guest bed for visiting relatives. The little side tables on the armrest easily flip down, so this fit perfectly in the small space we needed it temporarily. I was impressed with the quality of both the mattress and the frame, it is very sturdy and the wood is nice. As you can see both of my pets love to sit on it. Our brother-in-law used it as a bed when he was visiting from out of state and he liked it so much that he is going to buy one for his guest room as well. I would definitely buy from this seller again, this was delivered much quicker than estimated, and was in perfect condition. The only thing is, it was difficult to assemble and took a long time. So some level of experience is necessary. We got the gray one but it looks blue in the second picture because of the lighting. In person, it is the exact color we ordered. I would recommend this futon, and I am excited about moving it to its place in the living room, so we can enjoy watching movies on it in front of the fireplace this winter!

It is full size yes but there isn't a lot of sit area because it doesn't sit at 90°. I am not a small person. But I would say it is nice quality. They did a good job making sure it is stable but I am worried about the front beam breaking.

Wow. Thank you Kodiak and Amazon! I had this set up in under 4 hours mostly by myself. A few things with my son.I was pleased with the quality from the get go. The paper instructions and the video on YouTube were helpful and very easy to follow since all of the hardware and parts were labeled and neatly organized in the packaging. A nice addition to my apartment living room and high quality for the price. Thank you again
