I've used this product for many years, its great for fine hair, definetly makes hair look and feel thicker.It does have a strong fragrance,, which I like, but may not be for everyone.

Quality is great. I have very fine hair and it gives it so much body, but still leaves hair soft and it smells great!

I’m impressed with the results. My hair feels stronger, looks shinier, and I’ve noticed much less breakage and shedding. It also has a pleasant, clean scent and lathers really well without leaving any residue.

I was looking for something to help my thinning hair and this is perfect. My hair is thicker and styles better. I will definitely buy again

I can't really speak to how well this shampoo works, as I stopped using it after two shampoos, but I wanted to address the scent. I thought the reviews speaking to how badly it smelled were likely exaggerated and purchased it anyway. However, I found that I primarily agreed with them and stopped using it after two shampoos. I do think it is important to note however that I don't think everyone will agree and wanted to provide some guidance. First the scent is very strong and lasts all day long on your hair. Second, to me the scent is very masculine (think sandalwood, patchouli or cedarwood). If these are the types of scents that you enjoy, then you will likely be thrilled with the product. If not, I would stay away from it as the scent is very strong and permeates your hair and clothing for at least a full day. Hope this helps!

I got this duo to address an itchy scalp and, what I thought was, a lot of shedding during showers after visiting a 3rd world country (not a joke).Some reviewers have commented on the smell but have not described it further. If you like the smell of Redken products or Barbasol shaving foam or Rid lice shampoo, you'll like the smell of this - as it smells the same. I expected with the ingredients it would be fruity or covered by coconut, but it was not. My Spouse would periodically pass by, return to sniff my head, give a snort and leave so I do not think he was partial to it either.Secondly, the shampoo behaved like a deep clean, volumizing shampoo where the hair shafts felt rough after shampooing and there was a lot of shedding in the shower (more than what I was experiencing pre-use).The corresponding conditioner went on more like a mud mask for your hair. It did its best to help the hair strands become a little smoother, but it was definitely not moisturizing enough for hair that was not fine. I did not notice any kind of appearance of new growth but it was a short time.I was only able to tolerate using it for a week (I woke up during the nights due to the smell bothering me), so I have returned to my regular shampoo and conditioner. I also found an OTC supplement which appears to have helped me overcome the itchy scalp and shower shedding (for those of you who stayed until the end and wondered about that).It would have been nice if someone clarified how it smelled so I could have saved myself a lot of money and just went with the OTC supplement and not stressed my hair for a week. With such a myriad of positive reviews, I may have a sensitive olfactory system, so this may work very well for the right candidates.
