I have been using Palmer's Cocoa Butter, and it has quickly become a staple in my routine. A good product for specific purposes, more of a 4.5/5 on its own for acne- and blackhead-prone skin. Because of the petrolatum/mineral oil, it can be a bit greasy. To its credit, it mixes well with many other products and is improved by them. I frequently mix a pump with a few drops of Bio-Oil, a squeeze of The Cool Fix aftershave, and half a spoonful of Manuka honey. I have experimented with skincare due to my extremely sensitive, keratosis pilaris- and acne-prone skin. These extra ingredients whip up the lotion into a buttery, smooth concoction that is neither sticky nor oily. The lotion on its own has been great for healing where I sometimes pick at my skin and need deep moisturization (acne on shoulders and body), but can cause a few blackheads/clogged pores to appear if I don’t shower within 24 hours—this is my only real reservation about the product, as it advertises “48 hour moisture” and also recommends daily application. If, for example, one day you shower in the morning and apply this lotion afterward, it would be a good idea to shower again in the morning the next day and not wait until the afternoon or evening, especially if you have sensitive skin. As part of a daily routine, given how well it plays with other products, I’m marking it a solid 5 stars. Significantly better than other products for my sensitive skin, although it can be a bit thick coming out of the bottle (see photo). I don’t mind the cocoa butter smell, it layers well and soaks up other scents so it should be fairly easy to cover up even if you do dislike it. I have never noticed any residual streakiness or yellowing once the lotion goes on my skin, but I already have red/yellow undertones to my skin so those with cooler undertones may notice some effect I’m not getting. I feel like overall it goes on fairly smooth and clears up, even if the oils are somewhat thick when the product is applied by itself. For extremely dry skin, it’s a miracle worker—no more ashy elbows or knees, and it soothes dry and cracked feet really well. If you know what you want to use it for, it’s awesome. It’s not a “set it and forget it” type of product unless your skin is very dry; for sensitive skin, it’s all about the maintenance.

This lotion works so well to repair and soften cracked heels, which are normal after wearing sandals in this hot desert climate. So far I love the pump lotion and it absorbs easily into my skin. It's so much better than their tub formula that leaves my hands icky. I will definitely buy this again.

With all the good reviews and a recent sale, I decided to give this a try. I'm about halfway through my 1st bottle and think I may have found a new favorite. It has a pleasantly light scent with a creamy absorbent texture that keeps my skin feeling smooth and hydrated. The moisture is long-lasting without any sticky residue. I definitely inend to buy again and have already added to cart.

Ich habe die Body Lotion durch die My Little Box kennengelernt und finde sie super. Der Duft ist dezent Schokoladig, das Gefühl auf der Haut ist unbeschreiblich zart und weich. Lässt sich gut auftragen und hat eine schöne Konsistenz. Sehr pflegend und sogar straffend und lässt Narben und pigmentflecken verpassen. Schade, dass sie nicht im Drogeriemarkt angeboten wird. Hinweis: weil es so eine reichhaltige Formel ist, ist es eher was für den Herbst/Winter oder für Wellness-Tage.
