Pro-CureThreadfin Shad Super Gel, 2 Ounce

Just used this product yesterday fishing for crappie. I have 4 rods with live minnows and a plastic crappie lure I was popping up and down while I waited for a strike on the live minnows. I sat my lure down in between the 4 live minnow rods at depth while I tied a hook on another rod. A bass hit the plastic lure in the rather than the 4 minnows around it. I caught two bass using this before the wind picked up too much and I had to leave compared to the one strike with no catch on my minnows. I will keep this on my boat for bass and crappie in the future.

First time catch 7 lb catfish

I had been using Pro-Cure Shrimp in fresh water more as a scent cover up without any success. So, I thought I better switch to a more natural fresh water scent. I bought the shad scent to use on bass and crappie. I reapplied frequently, and I can honestly say that I never caught a fish on any lure coated with this product.

I have other pro-cure scent they all seem to work, I have not had any bites on this one. I know the fish in the lake does feed on shad, and probably they are threadfin shad, but it just don't work like I thought.I know it's not very scientific because fishing is not a consistent thing.

It works

This scent is legit. It stays on your lure for several casts unlike other products. It smells strongly of shad and sure helps to get the lunkers to hang on to your lure longer.
