Spigen Ultra Hybrid LG G3 Case with Air Cushion Technology and Hybrid Drop Protection for LG G3 - Metal Slate

I bought both the "Ultra Fit" version with the solid "shimmery white" colored back cover and the "Ultra Hybrid Air Cushion" with the Clear back cover and gunmetal gray trim/bumper. My recommendation -- DEFINITELY buy the latter, i.e., the one with the "clear" back cover. It is perfectly transparent and thus does not at all mask/hide the gorgeous back cover of the LG G3 (which IMO is so gorgeous it is almost a work of art -- so why conceal it??). It also looks like it will provide a lot more protection to your G3 in the event you drop it. Plus, the "bumper" (i.e., the trim around the case, which is gunmetal gray for the one I bought) just looks and feels a lot more formidable for providing protection, especially to the extent it overlaps on the front side of a LG G3. It you remember "bumper cars" from your childhood days at amusement parks, that is the kind of protection it looks like it provides (I have not actually dropped my G3, and hopefully never will; thus I can't say for sure just how protective it is).My only complaint, and my reason for not giving this case 5 stars, is that I wish the "clear" case was available with a clear or white bumper instead of the only 3 colors available for the clear case's bumper, i.e., gunmetal gray, black, and mint. It is available with a clear trim/bumper for the iPhone5 but not for the G3 (or if it is, I have not found it on Amazon). I also think that this case is a perfect complement to the Zagg InvisibleShield "Glass" screen protector, which is made of tempered glass instead of the usual flimsy, plastic screen protector. (YouTube has some impressive videos on how well the "Glass" protects the screen of a cell phone, including when the phone is dropped on a ceramic tile floor.)As for the other case that was my initial purchase, i.e., the "Ultra Fit" with the Shimmery White colored, solid back cover, it does indeed provide an excellent fit and the shade of white looks like an exact match to the G3's actual back cover that comes with the phone. Plus it does not show fingerprints at all. However, and this is a HUGE factor for me, it is EXTREMELY SLIPPERY in my opinion. Much more slippery than the actual back cover of the LG. When I had that cover on, I was constantly apprehensive that I would drop my LG G3. And the case itself feels and looks just as thin as the actual back cover of the G3. There is nothing inside the case that, to the naked eye, appears to provide any type of additional cushion. Of course, it does provide protection from scratches, chips, etc., to the actual back cover. But, although the case has a slight overlap that comes around towards the front of your G3, I do not see how it provides much protection in the event of a fall, especially if your phone falls face down on a hard surface.So for my rating, I would give 4.5 stars to the "Ultra Hybrid - Air Cushion with the Clear cover" and gunmetal gray bumper (deducting a half star only because of the lack of a white option for the bumper) but only 3 stars to the "Ultra Fit" case in shimmery white.

Overall, a good case. Adds just enough bulk to my LG so that it doesn't feel like I'm holding something fragile but not so much that it feels like I'm holding a brick. I don't drop my phone that often, but in the occasion that I do, nothing bad has happened to it (the most damage I've ever gotten was a cracked screen protector, which was an easy fix). I got the dark color, so I didn't notice any discoloration on the rubber edges. The edge of the case on the screen side is raised, so I wasn't worried about scratching my phone screen because I tend to put it face down. Goes really well with an edge-to-edge screen protector. And the clear back give you some room for case personalization if you really want to. I just put a sticker on mine because just seeing the white backing of my phone gets boring after a while.The downside is that over time, dust and dirt does accumulate between the clear backing and the phone itself, specifically around the area near the speaker. I have the white LG, so it's kind of noticeable if you really look at it. Another thing is that it doesn't provide 100% protection against falls; I have two cracks on the edges my actual phone, though it's relatively unnoticeable because it's along the top and bottom side and it's covered by the rubber part of the case.I've since upgraded my phone, but I'm getting this specific case line again for my new phone because aside from the mostly minor downside, the case does what I need it to do.

This is a review of the mint/clear model. The color accent around the edge perfectly matches the color in the pictures. This is a perfectly fitting, solid, one-piece, low-profile, and beautifully minimalistic, aesthetically pleasing phone case. I bought this for my wife and she absolutely LOVES it, and I'm actually kind of jealous. I didn't even notice the +Screen Shield in the title, so it was a nice little surprise in the box, although I prefer tempered glass protectors instead, so I can't really comment on the quality of the screen protector. The price for the quality of this product CANNOT be beat. Some people are bothered by the globally universal design, with the top left corner (viewing from the back) cut out, which is clearly visible in the pictures, but I've found that this makes it easier to pop the phone out without pressing around the buttons or the camera lens on the back of the phone. Make sure you clean the back of your phone before putting the case on, because any dust or debris will stick out like a sore thumb, though this is easily avoidable & very predictable if you have any common sense, considering that the back of the case is clear. Add this to your cart; you'll be happy that you did once it arrives.

This works about as well as one would expect a case of this price to work. It offers decent protection, and has helped my phone survive several drops. The rubberized sides and corners theoretically helps prevent screen shattering. The rubber extends about 1mm past the screen, which allows one to place the phone screen-down without the screen coming into contact with the surface it's placed on, thus preventing scratches. I have only two qualms with this case.1. The clear material on the back scratches over time, simply from being placed on and moved around on surfaces. Once scratched, the case begins to look dirty. Whether this is an effect of light refracting off the scratches or a matter of dirt becoming entrapped in the scratches, I do not know. However, attempts to clean the case were unsuccessful.2. Wireless charging (Powermat) through the case was spotty at best, and ultimately a no-go. Although the phone would sometimes register that it was placed on a charging dock, it wouldn't actually charge with the case on. Having to remove the case to charge became an inconvenience, and ultimately led me to stop using the case altogether.

I really like this case. It fits perfectly and looks great. It has a nice grip in your hand and the transparent back makes it a little different from most. The product itself feels really sturdy. I opted for a glass screen protector rather than the one that is provided so I can't attest to that part of it, but overall I'm very happy with this purchase.

The back is a hard transparent plastic. So, you can still see the actual back of the phone through the case. The sides appear to be very strong silicon. That makes it easy to grip. And, the case fits snugly with the phone. So, the phone won't come out of the case until you use some force. So, that's good. The design of the case makes sure that the phone still gets all the respect that it deserves. Oh, and I think it comes with a free screen protection plastic. So, don't get a separate screen protection, unless you want to go buy some sleek, hi-fi screen protector.

It's a great case.. Comes in with a screen guard so that's good. It fits perfectly and your phone looks secure and safe.After the first month of usage, lot of dust and random particles used to get inside and I had to clean it regularly to maintain the look of the phone. But the biggest let down was that after 1. 5 month of regular but careful usage still led to lots of scratches on the outer back of the case which has started to look bad and the phone is looking really old.So in conclusion, it's a great solution for safety and looks good too initially but gets scratches easily so use very carefully. Still, it's one of the best cases for g3.

Great product. Transparent light and protects the phone

Great case. The base fits the phone perfectly and doesn't add to much bulk. I like the rubber edge, has already saved my phone when dropped. A definite must have with such a large screen.
