I wanted to upgrade my 360 camera after I found out the one I owned (different brand) was unsupported. : ( I started researching online and found the the Insta360 was a great option for me. Manual control is one of the most important features that wanted. Price was good. Software and hardware support was highly praised too. I was just about to consider purchasing the Insta360......when the Insta360 One R came out and was just getting into the hands of a few people. I was impressed by the modular design, the native water resistance, and the future module potential . It was a no-brainer for me, which camera to buy. I just had to wait a little before I could get one. So far I have been very impressed with the One R. I love that I can set it to auto and it does a great job capturing video/images, but when things get tricky....I can go full manual and make to shot happen. It can go from simple to complicated, Its up to you. The live preview on the phone or touch screen is an awesome feature. Apple Watch shutter button is sweet. I really love the fact you don't have to close it up in a case (which degrades/kills sound) to protect is from rain/splashes. I have seen some people complaining about a gap between the body and the battery. If you look at the way the contacts seal when connected, this is not an issue. I need to work with the app more to get some of the cool effects that this system is capable of. For the most part, I just export the video/images into my VR headset and share the experience. I did have an issue with the camera when I was trying to a time-lapse on my motorcycle so I can't say its perfect, but based the frequency of updates (about once a month)....I don't expect it to be an issue for long. I think the company behind this camera will add features and improvements to keep it fresh and viable for some time. Overall, I am very happy with this cameras quality and performance and would recommend it to anyone in the action camera market. The biggest issue I have at the moment is the lack of subject material due to closures of theme parks and other venues. I can't wait to capture video/images in conditions that my old camera couldn't handle due to lack of control.

I received this product within a few days of ordering it. I had to send it across the country for my friend's fiancé who's a model and it turned out great for him. He works with it on a daily basis and is super stoked to have received it.

Honestly I love this camera and all of the editing functions are actually super dope once you figure out how it all works.

Bad case- difficult to replace battery and card.bad colors - GoPro has much better colors Glitchy soft - it's free, but shows video in steps. Like frame per second. Makes it hard to edit video

The product I received was not as described, NEW. The box had no wrapping on it, once opened the twin camera itself had no lens protective plastic covers on it. The package was also missing 4 pieces, the mounting bracket, screw for the mounting bracket, and the 3 prong mount were all missing. The 4th thing missing was the protective cap that is supposed to be attached to the camera to cover the cable slot and SD card slot.I also spent a total time of approx. 2 hours trying to get the camera to connect to the app, which should be a simple process, however I was never successful in this. From the info ive found this is indicative that someone else has used this.It appears that the item I received was already returned by someone else who either kept these items and accidentally broke the SD cover off, or they kept the new camera and returned their own in the package.I did request a replacement however that had aftermarket cellophane wrapping on the box and under that cellophane had a piece of paper and a cleaning cloth which does not come with the product, not a big deal but shows that some of these packages have been opened and as to my original order this shows that there is no quality check on a returned item from this seller.

This camera is not for low light. What YouTube reviewers and I call low light are very different. Everything else is great but the battery. Get an external.

Just so you know, you can not upload a 360 picture to Facebook. You have to upload in to the insta 360 community page then share the link.

We gave it a low rating because we have the OneX and we love it. The software on the OneR sucks comparing to the OneX. Lots of bugs, unstable and locked up all the time.
