Great value and good tasting MCT oil! On my second bottle and anticipating a need for a third soon!
MY second time purchasing this oil. I highly recommend it & Zenwise Health! Very good customer service & great oil! I really like the oil! I use it in every thing from my own version of "Bullet proof "coffee, to simply pouring it on food for extra โgood fatโ I think the taste is very pleasant and even โbutteryโ without being overpowering! I have let my mother as well as several friends try it and they are very surprised at the pleasant taste that is somewhat buttery but not overpowering nor "greasy". It is a great way to give some extra good fat for otherwise "dry food" I have used it in Quinoa salad, on rotisserie chicken to make it more moist...I added some to my gluten free and dairy free turkey gravy at Xmas. Etc. I used it to lubricate my recent attempt at split pea and ham soup...(which turned into cement without the butter the original recipe recommended) adding this made it into a nice meal! I DO find (and so has my mother) a significant increase in subtle energy using this product. Since I have also read that consuming coconut sourced MCT oil can aid in belly fat reduction & that is a great bonus! Give it a try to Aid your new years resolution weight loss goals :-)

Great way of adding fat to my diet
Great way of adding fat to my diet. I use in Bulletproof coffee most mornings and I wake up faster and am more focused at work. I no longer fall asleep at my desk or move sluggishly or forget little details. I do not believe it is a placebo effect because the difference is remarkable and lasts all day. Also my coffee keeps me full until lunch time. When I drink BPC my lunch time is about 1-2 hours after my "normal" time because I am just not hungry. I recently upped my dose to 2T in my coffee. I was afraid it wouldn't mix well with the water and butter, that I would taste it and that it would give me diarrhea but it doesn't. Very tasteless. Recently mixed it with a salad/pasta dressing I made and it was still tasteless and blended very well with it. I use a blender to mix it. If I mix it by spoon or fork it separates immediately.

Too bad for bad packaging
Unfortunate packaging. This product arrived in a white plastic bottle with a yellow label. It had a pump which I was excited to use for cleanliness and ease. However, the pump started leaking oil from I don't know where. Then there was an oil stain in my cabinet. I placed item on granite counter top on top of paper towel, but then it leaked thru towel and left a stain on granite. I transferred oil into an empty avocado oil bottle and threw plastic bottle away. One week later, the glass bottle slipped off of a remaining corner of grease in cabinet and shattered all over my kitchen floor - shards of glass all over, along with a bath of oil soaked into my tile grout. I still have baking soda on the counter to try to get the oil stain out of counter. Too bad for bad packaging, I couldn't enjoy consuming this product. It was a complete fiasco and waste of my $$, not to mention all the time and labor to clean up after the messes as a result of the package. Boo.

Tastes okay, easy to take daily
I took these once a day (2 gummies, usually first thing in the morning) for a month, and didn't notice any difference in my energy levels or "fat burning". There were a couple days when I took a second serving (as it says 1-2x per day) when I wanted an energy boost to get some work done, but I'm not sure if it helped or not- may have been placebo thinking I was being more productive. The green apple taste was initially off-putting, but I became more neutral towards the flavor after a couple days. Certainly not something I'd eat for the flavor, but they were easy to chew and didn't get stuck in my teeth, and the flavor was pretty mild. I don't know that I'd buy them again, but I don't think they had any negative effects either.

Taste stale!
4th time buying product; last two shipments expired month of purchase- and tasted like it (how I imagine playdough would taste!) , you KNOW these have a long shelf life so I'll look for another supplier as they DO provide the desired "I'm not dead, now get out of bed" effects that I'm looking for (w/o coffee digestion side effects), 2 gummies in the morning will get you through to afternoon awake and not constantly contemplating what's for lunch ๐

Best for the Money
I've been using MCT oil daily for nearly a year since starting the ketogenic diet. I've tried many different brands. This one is by far the best for the money in my opinion. Not all MCT oils are the same. Zenwise uses only the C8 & C10 mct's, compared to many others which rely heavily on the slightly less effective c12. I'm not a scientist, but one study I read that I'll quote here stated that "lengthening the carbon chain by 2 carbons [ie C12] can slow down the rate of diffusion by 100 times. Therefore, compared to other medium-chain triglycerides, lauric acid may be a slightly less efficient way to obtain energy.)." So essentially, while C12 is technically a Medium Chain Triglyceride, it behaves more like a Long Chain Triglyceride compared to the others. For this reason I always look closely at the makeup of any MCT oil I buy and try to buy a brand that does not include the C12. If you want C12 (lauric acid) you can easily find it in coconut oil inexpensively, so there's no reason to dilute straight MCT oil with lauric acid. Overall, I am very surprised by this brand's quality. More practically speaking, the squeeze-style lid has a plastic stopper that helps keep spilling down, which is a problem I always have with MCT. It just magically tends to run everywhere no matter how careful you are.

Skeptical
In my latest research on MCT oils across companies, i compared the content of MCTs within their respective MCT oil. This included percent make up of MCTs, MCT makeup by grams, cost ($/oz), and total MCT content. C8 and C10 are the powerhouse's when it comes to what most people are looking for in an MCT oil such as appetetite suppression, quick energy, brain boost. C6 is basically undesirable in an MCT oil so its important to minimize this as much as possible. While c12 (lauric acid) is no slouch, if you are looking for optimal performance a richer amount of C8 and C10 is what you general would look for. In terms of total content, this product had on average at least 2.5gs of C8 and C10 fewer than its competitors at a similar price. Perhaps where i get hung up the most is the total content of MCTs. Of the 8 other companies, all had MCT oils made up of over 12gs where according to the contents explained on the bottle, this one has 10.1g. So, if this product does in fact have more than 10.1gs of MCT content similar to its competitors, is that content C6? If so, that would explain why you are running to the bathroom after consuming it or if there is a potent smell to it. Overall, i would say its still a good product, but a general rule of thumb is to look beyond the % makeup of MCT content and go for C8 and C10. You can get c12 from coconut oil for half of the price.

Perfect for Bulletproof Coffee
I'm into Bulletproof coffee. If you don't know what that is, here's a quick list of ingredients: Your favorite coffee (mine is a combination of Trader Joe's Kenya AA and Sumatra), 2 tablespoons of grass-fed butter (I use Kerrygold), and a tablespoon of MCT oil. Bulletproof coffee gives me a boost every morning that I drink it. My energy level is up, my mind is clear, and I don't have any craving for a mid-morning snack. And, for some reason, I've come down in weight along the way. After looking for an MCT oil I would feel comfortable taking every day, I selected the one from Zenwise Health and I'm very satisfied having made that decision. It's extracted from pure coconut oil, not a mixture of other oil extracts such as palm oil. It's tasteless and clear, so it doesn't affect the coffee nor other foods it can be put into. I like that it's made in the USA and is certified by NSF and GMP.
