Makes a great subpanel
Installed this next to my main panel to bring our house up to code without a huge mess of unsightly pigtails.

Square D is a good brand, but was slightly disappointed in new panel.
It's a UL listed electrical product, so I'm sure it must half to meet certain construction standards. It seem kind of cheap to me. I am in the electrical industry, but this is the first panel I have installed. Haven't much experience with other brands.Observations: The entire interior bus section that breakers snap on is molded in a plastic apparatus that seems flimsy. And the whole apparatus appears to be held in the steel enclosure with one single screw, and some ears that fit in slots. It felt like I was going to break the plastic apparatus when I was tightening the main lugs screws. The cover has a spring loaded plate that fits over the breakers, and leaves a little(unseen) gap around the inside edge. Not sure why they make the cover this way? As all the breakers need to be the same physical size anyway, why would you need the flexibility of fit? Is it possible to get different depth breakers for panel? In comparison to my old Square D QO panel, with a solid one piece cover, the old panel seems to hold the breakers in better, being that it has no play in the fit. Also the ground bar(important safety part of system) is secured to the panel with one screw, and only about 2 threads of that, being that it is just screwed to the sheet metal.I bought the QO panel because my other panel is QO, and I thought the Homeline series was likely cheaper made, after seeing this panel, I'm not sure they could make anything cheaper.I guess you don't get a lot for 55 dollars.

Good breaker box
I needed a new breaker box for my garage so I could have a lot of circuits to enable me to better control all the receptacles I wanted for potential future additions and changes to my shop tools. A simple 4 or 6 circuit box would handle the current, but I wanted to be able to have a lot more separate circuits to simplify the wiring a bit. This box accepted a main breaker to use as the garage and shop disconnect, and has lots of spaces for all the circuits I wanted. It uses the Square D breakers that I also have in the house so I am not buying a bunch of totally different parts. All in all, this was easy to install and wire up and I got it functioning pretty fast. I really like how much more room the newer boxes have for wires, compared to the decades old one in our house.

worked as intended
Only complaint was one of the neutral bars could not screw in the screws. After pulling out several of the screws and and inspecting them, I saw they had a bur on threads up about 1/8 of inch. Was no problem as they gave a couple of buss bars to use as a isolated grounds for a sub panel. (usually something you have to buy). I just replaced the screws. For the price was a good deal. I believe that the QO has tinned copper buss bars and that a Homeline has aluminum bus bars. So down the road this panel should out perform others. This was installed in a metal building that could get condensation in the winter.

Great subpanel for my workshop
Typical quality product from Square D - I only use QO product line for just a few $ more than their homeline product ... no brainer. Caution: some codes require a shutoff at the subpanel if more than 8 or 12 spaces so check with your local building dept.

Perfect Subpanel
Needed to install a subpanel for added capacity before finishing my basement. Square D is top quality and the price on here is excellent.

Nice future proofing Neutral bars yet backwards compatible to older style breakers.
I like it included a grounding block. I think the breaker could have used the plastic protection for mains wires as seen on a 100 amp panel I also purchased.

Reasonably priced
Great box but if I had it to do over I would have looked for a Square D Home Lite box since those breakers are less expensive than the QO breakers. To use as a sub panel it is still a good choice. Easy to mount and can be mounted upside down if your supply wires come in from the bottom.

Can NOT be used in Canada
The one star rating is for Amazon.ca and not Schneider or the panel itself.I figured that since this was being shipped and sold by Amazon.ca that this would be the Canadian (CSA approved) version of this panel. To my disappointment, it was the American model that is not allowed to be used in Canada. I had to return the item, luckily I noticed before wiring it! Leaving this review to help others avoid the mistake and hopefully Amazon will start to sell the correct product.
