I haven’t seen any expiration on the packaging

Do I need this filter if I used filter water in making the Coffe ?

If you are already using filtered water , I would not think you have to have this charcoal filter. We use Crystal Geyser water in our coffee maker and still use this filter. They are inexpensive and it is the last filter before the water goes in to making our coffee. Your choice. I just think it is better to have it than not.

Do these need soaked first,then rinsed?

Did not soaked it but we run our coffee machine with the new filter on for about 5 times to take out the charcoal after taste

Has anyone tried cuisinart filters in kenmore coffee makers? Seem about the same size

You havre to be careful with this as not every filter fits each application and I found this to be true. Even if they look similar, they can be off by a 1/16 of an inch..,
