A lot of corners cut on this collar.
We have several Signature K9 products for our dogs. As a manufacturer they came highly recommended and we have been very, very pleased with the durability and craftsmanship of all the leather goods... accept this collar. It is listed as Leitago but it feels more like chrome tan leather. the measurements are off (a little long) the hardware is brass plate and crowded on the collar, everything else we have gotten from Signature K9 has been solid brass and comfortably spaced. Also, every other Amish made collar and leash we have has been stitched to woven leather, this is held together with speed rivets. It just looks and feels like a lot of corners were cut from the Ray Allen standard on this product. I'll use it because I need a leather collar but i"ll replace it just as soon as I find one that is better made.

Good quality, but...
This is a great product at a great price, but there are some caveats: first, we returned ours because the tan color didn't look right on our brindle dog (we should have known, so that was our mistake); second, the measurements are correct, but when set to the smallest neck size (which we needed) the remaining collar sticks out and looks really silly. The loop meant to hold the excess length is not movable, so the only way to fix it that we saw was to cut it. Like I said, we returned it instead, and are now in the market for a 16-20" black collar that meets the quality of this tan one.

Love this collar!
My dog is harsh on collars, so I needed something that would last longer than a fabric collar. I knew his old collar was 1" wide, and it seemed to narrow so I originally ordered the 1-1/2" version of this collar. That was way too overpowering on my American Staffordshire Terrier, so we exchanged it for the 1" collar. This is PERFECT for him. It is so strong and has been standing up to his puppy-ness quite well. It is a little long for my dog, so I just trimmed off the excess end while still leaving plenty of room just in case he has any more growth-spurts.It shipped quick and came in great condition - ready to buckle on him and get on with our walk. If I ever needed another one, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

... for about 6 months now and is still a great looking and durable collar
This collar has been on my basset hound for about 6 months now and is still a great looking and durable collar. I have taken him on many hikes and walks since then and only used this collar since it arrived. I will say the light brown color pictured will only last a few months and will eventually turn into a darker chocolate brown which is still very good looking as it is exposed to the inevitable wear and tear a dog will subject it to. Also the gold hardware will lose its finish and become silver/nickle colored. I am very pleased with this color and would recommend it to anyone who likes the classic look of a thick leather color for their dog of any breed.

Overall it's a good collar
I have a 70 pound German Shepard Doberman mix and the 18-22" collar is actually on the large size for him...a 14-18" would have been perfect as when you get one that's too big, the excess slack will need to be cut or secured as it will flap around since the sleeve it goes in does not adjust. Quality seems to be fine, and it is very thick and has good hardware so I think this will last for many years.

Awesome collar
I bought this collar about 5 months ago and it is still in good condition. I have an 80lb working doberman and it did stretch a bit from all his pulling but I just put an extra hole in it after the second month. No big deal. Its his everyday collar, we use it during schutzhund, walks, ect.No signs of wear except for some stretching from the amount of weight he exerts on it pulling.I trust this leather collar more than his HS fursaver not to break when he sees a cat, suspicious person! He once broke a "heavy-duty" nylon collar with plastic buckle trying to get to a cat. You cant beat the price for the quality.

Quality with one oversight
The collar is good quality leather and fits just like it should. It's dyed well and with over a month of use has shown little to no wear. The problem is that there is no extra loop to secure the extended length of the collar. It looks bad when not secured so I had to use a zip tie to secure it until I could find another loop for it.
